Xbox 360 had a failure rate of 56%. I sent my 360 into the shop 3 times before I had to buy a new one... and before I switched over to the ps4... my new 360 RROD on me... I never had a problem with my two ps4s.

I eventually got it to load all safe mode options but in the end I had to replace my hard drive. the system update went fine after that

Thank you brother! The 2nd option worked, saved me uploading to a USB like other channels told me to.

I held a funeral for my PlayStation will all the boys because mine told me to download the update and I followed all the rules and it restarted the loop so it’s been buried in my back garden with a gravestone and some flower that we tried to grow but they died RIP Fob_Todd 🕊

Dude seriously, thank you! I was able to take my ps4 out of the annoying SafeMode cycle and able to Rebuild my Database and not loose ANYTHING on it, not even the Wi-fi configs. You're the only one that I've seen so far that calmly instructed how to deal with this.

i dont normally comment, but this video saved me, I was stuck in this reinstallation update loop. it was a nightmare bc my ps4 wasnt reading updated software on the usb i was using. but once initialized the ps4 it restarted, this has taken me like 3 hrs and this video helped in under 3 min, thank you very much !

For those who’s PS4 doesn’t work after trying all the options, even the factory reset, and don’t feel like spending all the money to buy another PS4 just buy another hard drive and replace it. Worked for me because my old one was corrupted. I’ve had this PS4 last me ever since it came out and it just started doing this problem.

Is it just me or is everyone having this problem in 2019 Edit: it just happened to me again Edit2 ok so alot of people have being asking me how to fix it now what worked for me is rebuild data and option 6 but you should always try every option if none of the options work send your ps4 to repair if that doesnt fix it you may have a faulty system and should get a new console

I got stuck in the loop after trying to install the latest update for COD. It was getting stuck on 27% of the storage check and kept asking me to install an update from a USB stick. I entered Safe Mode and used the 3rd option to install the update but not from a USB but it did not fix anything. I then apllied your first suggestion and it worked perfectly without losing any saved data. So if anyone has the same issue, try rebuilding the database before you reinstall everything from scratch! Thnaks!!

This actually worked. Thank you so much! I googled how to get out of this loop and came to your video. However, this PS4 doesn’t belong me. I hired it from a friend in my vacation. And it got this problem. This problem occurs every time when I turn off the PlayStation. I have to rebuild and restore everything. But it works with that method.

If connect a lan cable and go to Initial PS4 it should work but gonna delete everything. If you tried all 6 options and all of them says error. Thank me later

Unfortunately it will get rid of everything forever. I was forced to do so and now all my data is lost, screenshots, videos, game progress and themes are all gone. And in the end the PS4 froze and brought me back to save mode so now I'm pissed, it was for no reason and my PS plus days are going to waste.

It’s because the ps5 is coming out lol. I’ve been trying to fix mine for an hour now. I can’t even get the menu screen for safe mode

even the complete factory reset didnt work

What do I do if literally none of the solutions work? It will only work if I am extremely lucky and even after I get back into the actual ps4 itself it will start beeping at least 5 times after a few minutes and puts me back into an endless safe mode loop where nothing I do will get me out. If the PlayStation chooses to "check storage status" it will beep and turn off then again putting me back into safe mode.

This hurts I’ve had my ps4 for a year and it’s my second one because I chose to get larger storage but now it’s doing this the second time this year, I have lost hundreds of hours of gameplay and data the first time but I don’t want to lose any of my data again, what could I do to fix it without nuking the hard drive? My ps4 powers up saying I need to plug in my controller via USB to ps4.... when I do that it then tells me I need to update 7.00 update to system via USB. I have done this at least 5 times in the past week! Every time I do it, it will allow me to download everything back. Turn off your ps4 completely then hold in the power button until you hear it beep twice. That should bring up the 7 options. Had the same issue

@@dacampernoob it was doing that as well. But like I said previously, I purchased a internal hard-drive and replaced the old one in my ps4. After I did that, my playstation works like new. Only paid $50 for the hard-drive from best buy

I did the system software update on safe mode it did it then it went right back to safe mode next I did the rebuild database then it went right back to safe mode then i did the system software update again then it said error then it said turn off ps4 so I did now my ps4 wont turn back on

I have spent 100 eur on new HDD... it's dead. We can't do anything. Saving money for another one! Problem is that I have used mine while pregnant maximum 20 times then it was I the closet for 2-3 years. Month ago put it in and ITS DEAD. COMPLETELY UNUSED AND NEW! I Think HMDI is fucked up. I can see shocking screen for split sec kn TV and shuts down...after 3 mins So no, new HDD doesnt work with installing version 7.51 1 GB. Same issue same problem... time for a new one. Also mine is overheating terribly and shuts down after 3 mins but it's still I working without HDMI picture on the TV.... its HDMI port! I think some cable inside got disconnected. And the guy who was fixing it said he played it for 1h and that it works???? Hell yes!!! I put HDMI cable I use for my laptops to monitor new and without any issues. So yes its alive but I hear boom, shock and no picture.. all black, PS in white mode still..nothing even changes if I put some buttons on the USB joystick...

So it’s now 2022 and I’m now getting the safe mode loop. Never had a problem in the 10 years or so but these last couple of weeks there’s been issues. I’ve tried rebuilding data base twice now and that doesn’t seem to work. If I restart the ps4 from the safe mode list it loads up fine and can play as normal but the problem is when I turn off the PS4 then back on again later the problem is still there I’ve even downloaded the latest software update 9.04. I’m thinking it’s time for a new hard drive, although I have another PS4 could I not just swap the hard drives over?

This safe is really pissing me off

@@sandorclegane9622 I went to best buy and bought a new hardrive. Installed it on my ps4 and now it works perfectly. I would strongly recommend doing that because internal hard drives are cheaper than they were. I only paid 54.99 .

To follow up to my previous comment it turns out none of these steps would've saved my PS4. I needed a new hard drive, plain and simple. I went with the best one on the market, the Samsung Evo.

@@garethsimpson7953 my ps4 stuck on safe mode and none of my controllers are paired to it it says connect controller wth usb and push the ps button but the controller just blinks Im fixing to smash it id or won't boot up or recognize my controllers

I've been stuck at update 7.02 for a long time now. No fix that I know of, anyone fix it? I know the previous updates got fixed over time when new update came out. Might have to wait for a new update

It just takes me back to the loop

My ps4 pro is in safe mode but is not recognizing any controller. I have three controllers and have tried all of them with three different cords and in all three USB ports on the system. I’ve held down the share and ps buttons on all three and have also used the reset hole on the back of the controller. Any help would be appreciated.

Btw if anyone else is having this problem I got it figured out just make sure your PlayStation is plugged in completely and try not to use plug adapters if possible and I’ve also found that just holding the power button until it powers down and turning it back on can fix it as well. Best of luck to any of you trying to fix your problem and try not to throw your PS4 out the window good luck!

i need help so i installed a usb update file for my ps4 but after it installed it restarted and it still wont let me get on it goes to saying connect a cable for the ps4 and then after it goes straight to saying you can install a ps4 update file on the ps4 network or it says the usb isnt plugged in even though it is but when i click cancel it crashes and i need help bad pleaseeeeeeeeee

My PS4 got caught in a loop (CE-36329-3) when being turned on saying it needed to be updated as a suggested action, but I couldn't get past the log in screen before the loop started over! This video was a life saver! Thank you so much

I intilalize and now my ps4 is sticking 🤷

Same it just froze and i un pluged it to un frezee it

I'm stuck where it says connect USB to ps4 controller because my controller is connected and when it hit the ps button it just flashes for a second then turns off

BossMafia 16 you need the official PlayStation cable I tried using a different cable but it didn’t work You need the official PlayStation cable

I have the saaaaame issue but I don't have access to that cable. I most likely lost it ages ago. No other controller will connect to my ps4. Let me know if you figured anything out

@@Hznzd omg is that really true? I keep pressing the PS button and it only flashes and can't get to the safe mode options!!! (not using original cable)
