Thanks. My guess is the amount to cut is dependent on the printer model, so I'll just follow your process (and not necessarily go with the 2mm correction cut)

Will it work if I don't cut the paper and instead move the objects 2mm or dedicated lengh in designing software?
@boardgameprojects
Күн бұрын
If you have access to the originals and can adjust in the software, then do that for sure. I'm just downloading PnP files from the publishers and don't have the skills to do that to PDFs :P

Hey man! Nice trick! I'm still struggling though! I don't how you came up with the 2mm? Or the part you're cutting depends on the gap between the markers on each side?
@boardgameprojects

It was based on how far off the alignment was as well as some trial and error :)

how do you print the image with such perfect top bottom and side margins?
@boardgameprojects
2 жыл бұрын
On my printer the side margins are generally good. Its the top / bottom alignment that gets off. This video shows my technique for fixing that.

I have an HP Envy 7640. It goes through ink faster than I would like, but it does a good job dealing with 110 lb card stock. Thanks for watching!

Thank You, but very strange. What maker and model the printer is ? Anyway, many problems in front/back alignment are on the horizontal axis, not vertical. To fix them You need another method, involving crop marks.....

What settings for printing? Do you use auto center mode?

I don't believe I found any specific settings that helped the situation. So I print using the base settings I believe and use this to adjust. I'll verify when I print next.

Sure, this fixes the issue, but your going to have to do that to EVERY page. Wouldn't recommend this for making a large deck.

Thanks for the feedback. Making cards is a bit of a time consuming process for sure. This does add to that. I have found that its the only way that works for me for many print and plays cards with my printer.
@Jonathan-jo2xu8 ай бұрын
Maybe it's just the fact that I haven't slept in a while but that really did not help me. Was that just an arbitrary number that you can came up with, 2 mm? did you measure how much the alignment was off, And then subtract that from the other side? Judging from the comments, it must be me cuz nobody else questioning this method
