Omg, thank you so much!! I thought the camera itself was the problem, so I swapped the old for a new one. Unfortunately, the problem was solved only temporarily and after a short while it stopped working again. I was contemplating the idea of buying a new phone even though everything except the camera was working absolutely fine. I'm sooo happy that, thanks to your video, I now can keep on using my old phone! (I couldn't fine the "uninstall updates" button, so I simply cleared the storage and cache before and after restarting my phone)

The only way I found to use my camera is to go into setting, n open camera app, storage n delete your data. Your phone will work but you may have to do this everytime you want to use your phone. And no, you will not lose your photos.

Just restart your phone

Sometimes your camera isn't working if you need a bigger SD card and you have too much stuff on the phone and you need to clear up some memory so please think about getting a bigger SD card which you can usually buy cheaply in almost any electronics department even at Walmart

My S8 does not have that option

I heard about that before they call it the black screen of death . But I don't know if you mean the screen is black on the camera or if the whole phone screen is black ... ? It's the whole phone screen is black that is the black screen of death and somebody said it's because the phone is overcharged and you have to press on the side ... I can't remember which button to slightly drain the battery . Are you sure it's totally black on the camera ... if it's the camera screen that is black ? When I Google where is my camera at most of the times it will very quickly flash on the camera app and then actually put the phone on, where it is ready to photograph things . ... but then it still keeps hiding the phone app afterwards
