I gotta come back here and say that I played for a couple hours today and not a single crash. for the past few months I completely stopped playing this game bc it would crash first match or in the menu. tysm man. it sucks that this games life cycle is over soon though... 😕

Thank you for giving me the idea to fix my own problem. I renamed the "\users\'username'\Documents\Call of Duty" directory and then did a 'verify local files' in Steam. After that completed, I checked that a new 'Call of Duty' folder had been created. I then launched the game and after battling for a week to get it to launch, it finally launched and I was able to reconfigure and play again. Thanks again and keep up the great work.

I own mw2 on battlene andt sometimes (it rarely happens) my game crashes and I get two windows which one of them says scan and repair or close and then just a window that says close if that makes sense so I'm definitely going to try this thank you for your time and effort I highly appreciate it💪
