turns out you can do it on any planet, but you have to go back to that planet to get them back in orbit.

Struck this today. Tried leaving the planet, logging out & in but nothing works. I killed the first wave pretty quickly after landing, then Spacer ship landed but no-one came out. Moving on to other quests & will return to it in 2024 when they get around to fixing it lol. Seems this mission has had different bug problems since launch.

Thanks so much, I must’ve been trying to fix this for 2 hours but finally did it. I was too far into the quest to give up!

I was stuck at this mission too, after fying to the lodge and back.. two spaceships landed next to me when I came back to the mission. Once I killed them the mission progressed.. Thank You

Thank you, it's been stuck since release, I always saw them in New Atlantis but couldn't get to them so I've been waiting for a patch. But you fixed it !!

I couldn't figure this out, thanks! Funny enough, I had seen them taking off multiple times from different planets, but never went up immediately after them.

Thank you very much. For me I had to set course to Cydonia on mars because the spacer wouldn’t land for me in new Atlantis. I also chose Cockpit instead of board after seeing him leave from cydonia. I waited in the orbit of mars for a bit and he came out

The Spacer Racoon ships are invincible for me smh

I had both Altair 1 and 5 quests objectives, the one in the video worked for Altair 1 obj but no luck with 5. Later on when I was playing the game , I had to go to the clinic for a different quest and after I left the clinic, the spacers appeared for the other half of the quest. Hope this helps someone else out, it might be worth a shot at least!

Mines bugged out on the Altair V step, tells me to go there but there's no spaceships and the quest marker tells me to go to the dembola system

Okay but what if the Spacers were already destroyed in Alpha Centauris orbit and you don't have a save from that. Any fixes?

I got them to follow me to Polvo, Altair V, and Jemison, but they don't take off and land at the same time like in your video so it's much trickier to time. I fight both of them in Jemison space but don't get the quest update.

The trick for me was to wait until they land first. I did this and quickly got in my ship and went back up into space. They followed me and I fought them in Mars orbit

@@reallythateasy finally worked. Mine was opposite. I had to hit cockpit and not board and it worked.

Same problem, they don't show up at New Atlantis. I tried both Board and Cockpit. Nothing happening in orbit.

Ok so for me it was strange, I went to an early save that still had the mission and I went to the Atlantis orbit and then it told me to go to the wolf system to face them, I got there and no one was there, I went back to the Atlantis orbit and they were gone. I then reloaded back to my recent save progress and then all of a sudden two of the spacers respawned on Atlantis and I was able to finally destroy them . I think eventually reloading old saves and then going back to your recent save progress will somehow reset them .

I'm having another issue where I managed to destroy all the ships in orbit fine but when I return to fight the invasion, there's one left that I can't see. Basically what happens is I kill them all but I still see the blue marker appearing as if the last spacer is underground.

My problem is I had to retreat and chose Mars. They were doing what you said, landing and taking off, and when I took off the Freestar Collective destroyed all but one, but that one ship isn't there. I can lock on but can't see a ship and nothing is landing. So there's just rockets and lasers flying everywhere and a target and even the dialogue of the enemy ship, but there's nothing there to hit. I also can't land on Mars now because I can't fast travel in combat.

Mars worked for me too. Except I waited for them to land then I went up into space before they did. I waited 30 seconds or so and they followed me back up

This wasn't bugged for me, but I'm stuck on the next part to kill Spacers. The problem is that crews from landing ships haven't left their ships on grounds for like a 100 hours of playtime. They no longer get out of the ships, so I can't kill them. Gonna try to fly FAAAR away, even though it will probably not do a thing.

@@ChodaBoyUSA People suggest to start a New Game+ save... Then everything should be reset, and bugs gone. I'll only use a New Game+ save if some quests I didn't managed to finish due to bugs, makes me unable to finish certain achievements.

Haha mine are missing from Altair V The spacers were too strong initially when I encountered them for the mission so I went exploring other planets for credits to upgrade my ship I remember encountering them landing while I was on a different planet exploring, so I hid then tried to run aboard to steal the ship. I ended up just glitching and getting dragged into the sky as they took off. I have never seen them again the past 6 levels Edit: I did have spacers also showing up at the landing pad shown in the video as well, once taken out at Altair 1 they no longer landed at Jamison I assume the spacers associated with the Altair V portion of the quest are just doing the same thing on whatever planet I encountered them hours and hours of gameplay ago

A bit more info on this. It wont necessarily be on that planet. I left the initial combat encounter to upgrade on Titan, so for me the fix was the same but on Titan, Homestead. Also, once they start taking off, leave the. Llanet as quickly as possible otherwise they wont be in orbit, instead they just return to the planet.

This is the fix. However, if you find that they are landing on Altair 2 research outpost, this works. You do as they say except land at the research post. I would make the quest active and watch them take off. Do as he suggests board not select the cockpit and takeoff. In my game, I had to go to Jemison and there they spawned, ready to be killed or you can sit back and watch UC kill them. After they die, the next quest starts.

For me, I encountered the spacers, realized I was out of ship parts to repair my hull, so jumped to Cydonia to buy some. Came out to my ship and the spacers are in orbit. Go to orbit, the UC is destroying them. Stuck and can't finish the mission. I'll try going to Jemison to see if that does anything, or pray I have an autosave I can go back to

Exactly the same issue here. Travelled to Cydonia for some weapon upgrades for the ship and when I left Cydonia a random fight broke out, similar to the one in this video. Naturally I was confused as hell and somehow I'm stuck in this mission now :(

@Corrupt_be I eventually got around it. Travel to random systems, and jumping back and forth. Eventually the ship just spawned in a random system, I was able to take it out and finish the mission

I landed on mars and they landed too but the only way I got it to work was to wait for them to land then I quickly took off into space and they followed me up so I could fight them

Mine is saying I have to kill all the spacers before they can open the door for me but there is noone left. My game is actually bugged

This is somewhat the answer but hard to recreate consistently.

If you are doing the ALBAN LOPEZ mission which takes place in the same place, you need to complete that mission first, then this one.

Does not work yet!

my issue is they don't exit the ship in the end of invasion on the ground so it can't be completed, what a buggy buggy game.some of the bugs make me laugh but the 14 non completing missions or activities drives me batty. thanks for the advise if it breaks earlier in the quest.

NOTE: This also works if you're stuck on the Defeat the Spacer Invasion quest! If you kill all the spacers and you just have that single quest marker that disappears when you step on it, follow his steps! There was a Spacer ship following me even though I was passed that part of the quest line!

I tried it. Things didn't play out for me like they did for the OP, but going to New Atlantis and returning did fix things by causing a ship to land and send out the final wave. Thanks dude!

I have a slightly different problem. While fighting the spacers, another ship lands, but no one exits. I have the quest marker that disappears when you get close to it, but I cannot find a way to trigger the next wave to exit their ship. I can talk to two of the NPCs, but that does not help. I tried leaving the planet and visiting other places, but nothing changes. I'm stuck.

u/ChodaBoyUSA ​u/@Muse1point0 I am stuck here for hours now. Even attended a memorial ceremony and came back. The spacers never exit the ship. I've checked downstairs inside the research lab. I wandered a 1 kilometer distance away and circled the outpost returned to floating blue octagon.... did you find a way to advance?

your video is wrong at roughly 0:56 when you say not to go straight to the cockpit it does not matter how you get in your ship but when you take off, for the ship i own for example jumping straight to the cockpit is needed to make it on time since you get in threw the back and not the front

Didn't work for me no matter how hard I try I can't get the last one

Been wanting to like the game it had potential but if they don’t start patching bugs it’s gonna get ugly the last 3 missions I’ve done I’ve had to look up work around videos honestly pathetic for a AAA game so far

Damn i killed them when they got out on a moon and now the last ship wont spawn
