if they don't work, Alt+Click the audio portion of the clip to select just the audio. go to clip and select render and replace.

Deleting the cache on a 4 TB multicam project is TERRIBLE advice, if the waveform is just missing on a few clips. That would basically grind Premiere to a halt while it recreates all the .pek files. If this problem only affects a handful of clips, make sure they're not linked to anything (Cmd/Ctrl+L or right click and "unlink"), then right click on your audio clip(s) and choose "Render and replace". That fixed it for me without having to rebuild the whole project cache.

Remember to save, close and open premiere after should work after. Probably not immediately just wait for the peak/wav file to finish generating. There should be a blue bar on the bottom right corner of premiere showing how much left until finished generating the file. Afterwards the waveforms should begin to appear!

The first 2 things didn't help, everything was already ticked. It was only 1 of the audio files that wouldn't show. Just restarted the program and it showed up.

Thanks for the video. In my case, it's weird, I do have the this audio waveform but it shows as almost a line in shape. Looks like it can't show as big and clear as what we normal see. Can you help me out? Thanks in advance.

What if I get my audio remain with the video, but I cant see the waveform just in certain sequence? I've done all options are all checked as the video mentioned.

I also found if you click on Show Audio Names, the wave function will also appear. Thanks for the information on the other ways too.

Where is this please?

The audio clip is still really hard to read in 2020. In older versions of Premiere, you could see the actual waveform better.

Check audio inputs and outputs.

Right click and select 'render and replace'

right click on the audio track next click on edit clip on Adobe audition if you have installed adobe audition and save it by clicking ctrl or cmd s. waveforms will show of
