I have shared this video to so many different long hair care groups. This is the one I always go back to. Thanks for helping me so much :)
Holy crap! I've NEVER been able to get my hair into such a perfect bun! THANK YOU!
KATIE!!!!!!!I just tried this with you watching the video and it worked the very first time! It is such a cool way to wear long hair and decorative too. Thank you for sharing!
I'm almost 6 years late but I had to say something because this video changed my life. Seriously, I know it's crazy, but I have been struggling with my long thick hair for years and can't find a comfortable way to put it up, especially at work. This is just so incredible, and helpful, and beautiful..and it stays!!! I've spent a small fortune on pretty hair sticks since watching this video and I can't wait for my future with my hair. Thank you thank you thank you!
Thank you so much this style and your tutorial is brilliant!! I've got really long, really thick hair (which I'm very greatful for!) and every style I try normally falls down or unravels really quickly but this style works and looks lovely. I like wearing it with a paintbrush through it :) Thank you so much for sharing xx
Oh my GAWD I LOVE HER HAIR! And thank you! I will try this!
Thankyou for this video!! I had been struggling for ages to put my hair up quickly in a neat way - your method is great, Katie!
I've been using Japanese hair bones forever, thanks for passing this instruction on to others. A couple of things, if you have really long hair, and want authentic bones, make sure to purchase longer hair bones, especially if you have slippery sleek hair. When wrapping your hair around the left hand ... ladies, I twist my engagement ring around, so the hair doesn't crab onto it. Also, if you want, I take the ends, wet them a bit, and swirl them tightly around my finger, then tuck into the hair, so when I release the bones, I have curl to the ends of my hair. Thanks again!
Thank you so much ! I don't have long hair yet and I've been searching in vain for a way to put up my hair without pins or elastics until I tried with your video ! I just use two fingers instead of my whole hand when i grab my ponytail (I have very very fine hair too) and it works just as well and holds very well too !
I love your hair! My Friend bought me a hair stick but I can't even complete one round cos my hairs short!!!
Thank You! I was able to re-create this sitting at my desk while watching the video for the first time. I grabbed a pen as the most handy "stick" and it actually worked! What's even better is that it feels secure but does not pull. I have a hard time doing anything but a ponytail with my long hair due to arthritis. It's actually less painful on my fingers than dealing with a pony tail elastic. Plus, I have super-fine, straight, slippery hair and it WORKED!
Sooo pretty and so "simple" to make ! Thank you !
Perfect tutorial I love it the results turned out great and it’s so easy to do!

Your hair is beautiful. I love the length. Love this tutorial as well gonna try it out tomorrow!
I love it.. Thank you... My hair never stays up. I did it as I watched your video, no brush, no chop sticks... just a pen nearby. I moved my head from side to side to see if it would fall and it stayed in... again THANKS!!!!!
(immediately scrambles to find stick-like-object) Should I use a bobby pin or two to keep the tail from unraveling the whole thing?

Thank you for putting up this video Mr Killingworth, very thoughtful of you.And thanks to your friend's easy hair fix as well
Its my first chopstick hairstyle and i love this video it helps me so much......u motivates me for doing bunstick (chopstick) hairstyles.....
my hair is to my knees and I am 5' 3" I havent cut my hair in 7 years. I use chopsticks for my hair ALLLL the time. It's an easier and quick way to pull your hair back out the way. Love her styling though. I usually tie my hair in a knot then wrap the extra strand around the bun then put the chopstick in.

thank you so much for putting this video up, I have long hair(not as long as yours but still long enough to do this) and my husband brought me metal hair sticks from Korea when he was stationed there and I have not had a clue what to do with them until now. How u maintaining ur hair? What kind of oil applying?
Brilliant - best chop/hair stick style I've found - love it x
I can sit on my hair too, do you know any tutorials that might help, the others are loose and not long hair friendly, how do you do ur hair?
I use chopsticks, pens, pencils etc on my hair and mine is down to my waist, I do exactly what you do without the flip. I have to be careful what I use to secure it because mine is fine , combine it with the weight and most hair clips will not stay in.

GREAT! Thanks so much. I am finally falling back in love with my long hair.
Nicely done and very concise. Great photography! Thank you for sharing!
I love this hairstyle! I had to go buy my own hair sticks because my sister wouldn't let me borrow her hair stick anymore or use our spare chopsticks. this is such an easy way to keep the hair off my neck when it is so hot! the only pain is it never looks perfect because my hair is layered.
I just have to say, thank you - you have no idea how long I've been looking for a simple way to bun-ify my hair because its so long & heavy it keeps falling down. Thank you!

Thank you so much! I looked at all of the other tutorials to figure out how to do this, but it was so hard. Your way is much easier. I stuck mine in with a pencil. I should invest in some chop sticks.
it's awesome, I got it the first time. thanks for such a simple hair style
LOVE IT !! I can only wrap my hair around once after making the ponytail and "flipping it" (my hair is about waist long) but I did it along with you and used a ballpoint pen - worked like a charm VERY SECURE!!! was surprised how easy it was to also have it neat and tidy on the first try!! thanks for showing us!! (now I want to run out and get some chop sticks lol...)

thank you for the nice comment! this is my go-to hair style! so easy!
wow, I made it! It's less complicated than I thought. Thank you so much! :D
Thank-You so much. My hair is over 3 feet long. I do keep cutting it off so I don't sit on it, but no shorter. I love the length for braids but I work at a diner and long hair is not my friend in a greasy kitchen. ;) I've been doing the same twist bun for YEARS! I'm so tired of it. I do a bun with a bun maker from time to time, but I have to braid the strands and wrap them around the bun several times. What I'm left with looks, to me, like "prom hair". This is really nice and I have several sets of chopsticks. Thank-You again.
Your hairstyle is amazing it's works well . Thank you so much
yea! i love seeing other long haired people do their hair, it really helps us :3
Thank you! Very quick and easy hairstyle.
Wow! This is the first hairstyle I got in my first attempt !! Thanks !
Thanks for the advise . it really enlarged my collection of buns . :D I usually put my hair in two and wrap it around till it remains a loop (thats wrapped around my wrist) and push the loop around the bun. it's wonderful since it's summer time and very hot and with long loose hair it's really a nightmare.
this works great on my waist length layered hair thanks :)
Love it!! Thank you!!
thank you for this :), there is very less videos regarding hip long hairs, it really works in summer
Fabulous! Next time I put up my hair I'm using knitting needles in mine. It should get a chuckle from onlookers as I knit while waiting at the doctor's & dentist's offices, as well as when waiting for church services and such events to start.
thankyou soo much!! it helped me alot!! and mine turned out to be cute! and u have a beautiful hair!! 😍
It really works! Thank you. I've been searching for a long time for a way to put up my long hair.
I only have 2 foot long hair but I still have difficulty finding quick simple styles especially for school. This is perfect and really easy thankyou!!!
Awesome! I´m a man with long hair so is useful to know how to put it up, sometimes is tiring to keep it down when it´s hot and a pony tail can´t manage my big hair after 3min it starts going down (no matter how tight I pull) and feelling super heavy so I hope I can make it to keep it up and light XD
