When I press the power button the picture of the battery with 94% when I plug the charger the light comes on showing the computer is charging what shall I do?

Thank you SO much. I didn’t open up the computer and remove the battery but holding the power button seemed to do the trick. I don’t know what I would’ve done without this video, my warranty has expired so I would have had to pay for repairs. For those of you who want to fix it now/don’t want to spend money but the battery is internal, try just holding down the power button for a few minutes. Edit: turn up your brightness too

Thank you so much! My Lenovo yoga 7i died and their customer service was an absolute nightmare to deal with. Your advice of removing the battery and letting the static pass worked to perfection! You've saved me so much stress. If anyone else has a similar problem, you'll need a torx T5 screwdriver to open the cover and a Phillips PH0 screwdriver to remove the battery. I got mine as a set on amazon for $20. I hope this helps :)

This is the worst laptop ever. The sound went out mic went out the camera went out. Had it less than 6 months

This is the third time this has happened to our Lenovo Ideapad. Both previous times the failure to start was due to a discharged battery. This is the first time I had to actually unplug the internal battery. Your method worked. Turns out the battery was fully charged, so maybe it was static. Thank you.

You’re a life saver man! My laptop just wouldn’t turn on even though the power buttons were on. I was a bit scared to remove the internal battery because I’m terrible with computers and mechanical parts, but it was just a couple screws! I felt so proud of myself when it turned on again! Thanks!

Thank you for your help in fixing my Lenovo laptop. It did take 3 tries with pressing down on the ON button for a full minute, but it finally took. I had spent most of the day looking for new computers. So happy this unfroze my computer. Thanks so much for your help. I was one of those people who keep my computer plugged in and not letting the battery run down. Who would have thought about this. Will operate my computer differently from now on.

Ive spent all day trying to fix a coworkers laptop. I have the novo button and read 1000 trouble shooting threads. Thank you so so so much for this video! After 30 seconds I could hear the motor - my heart almost stopped. I love lenovo computers so I bought them for my office and have had nothing but problems. Thank you. I was worried why my newly bought Lenovo was not working. My Power button was slowly blinking, but the laptop won't start. ( I thought the mechanical switch might have failed). I could not even fully switch it off even if I tried. And since it has been only one month since i bought I did not want to open the laptop my self. I was not even sure it was going to work but I pressed the switch for about 20+ seconds while I was watching this video. ( without any hope). Then I saw my power is off ( hooray). Then with one more push it got turned on. So much happy now. Thanks again.

I appreciate the guidance you provided in this video. I was able to determine my laptop had a bad connection from the CMOS to the motherboard. The plastic clip had become brittle and broken. The CMOS became disconnected from the motherboard and because of that the laptop wouldn't 'see' the power supply or battery. Once it was reconnected the laptop would power up and charge normally. Thanks again for the guidance on where to start.

Hi. Firstly, thanks for your great instructional videos. They are really well made and easy to understand. Makes a nice change :-) That said, am still having an issue with a Lenovo Ideapad S145. When it is turned on, the power light comes on, but there doesn't appear to be any other activity. It doesn't feel or sound like anything is happening within the computer and the screen stays black. The power stays on, but nothing at all is happening. I have removed and reinserted the RAM but this has not done anything. Any ideas or does it need to go to a repair place? TIA

It's really great seeing you still trying your best answering questions in the comments. I have a laptop that also has this problem. I wish you can help me with it. Few days ago, cousin gave his old laptop to me. This is an old Asus laptop and in a pretty bad condition, missing the battery but still usable and way better than my old one I got like 8 years ago. When he tried to turn it on, it doesnt work. The charging light was on when he plugged it in but the other two lights that usually also turn on too wasnt and the screen was black. After he gives it a few slaps and forces, it works again like normal. So I brought it home, use it and put it to sleep mode when I went to sleep. Today when I wake up, the computer didnt turn on just like the day i receive the laptop. I watched lots of videos on youtube about how to fix this problem. I tried long press the power button until the power light turns off, unplug and press the power button to release the static built up, even open the laptop to clean it from the inside but they all dont work. My country is in quarantine right now so I cant go out to a repairman. So if you are able to help guide me the step to repair my laptop because I really need this for school, you would be a life saver. Hope you will get back to be as soon as possible.

@@PC_Monkey Thank you for replying to my comment. I watched the video and tried to follow as much as I can but it still didnt work out. First I tried to unplug the power caple and battery. Since my laptop battery was already broken, I only unplugged the power caple and held the power button for 1 minutes then plugged the caple in again. It didnt work so I tried to removingthe ram. But when I opened the place where the ram is supposed to be, there is no Ram. I can see that this computer only have one ram but nothing connect to it. Then I moved on the the third solution which is Bios reseting. But when I open the laptop, I cant find the cmos battery. I tried looking around, unscrewing the mother board to look under it but I cant find any. I also tried finding some online sources like disassemble videos or forums but there isnt any clear answer. My laptop model is Asus 554L. After trying all those solutions the laptop is still the same, only the charging light is on and the two other that are supposed to also turn on when I plug in are off. My laptop was working fine yesterday and this only happened after I put it in sleep mode and went to sleep I wish KZread has a feature to send you photos and you can send me photos to guide me what to do. If you have any other solutions or guide that I can do at home, please help me. Again, Thank you for spending your time answering my question, very appreciated!

@@chonkyjohn If all the tests in this video do not reveal the issue, and your power adapter tested to be fine, then your most likely looking at a Motherboard replacement as seen here; kzread.info/dash/bejne/gJNrqrCrds6zg5s.html.
