Hello, I was just leaving a comment because one of my HP Probook X360 G9's keys broke and I had to get it replaced. After getting it fixed at my school (its a school computer) I found that the click and responsiveness of the space key was hindered severely. Do know how I can fix this? Also before I got the computer fixed, when I tapped the space key it would make a louder sound, which I liked, but now it does not make a sound, which makes it harder to really verify I have pressed it (Bad vision) also the responsiveness was also hindered (As previously stated) Any helpful feedback would be appreciated. Thanks! :')

Absolutely legendary. Thanks. For those like me that got the 2 plastic pieces to jump out and come apart: they only go back one way: they really smoothe and flat side on top. Check the inner clip and compare with others: the one end (that actually clips) is different to the other end. Before you put back make sure the mechanism is smoothe and lies fully flat before putting back in

This was great. My IPAD tablet "c" key had flipped off and the twinset inside was separated. This was enough help to get it back with a tweezer, magnifier and strong light. Thanks.

My cat walked across my keyboard on my HP laptop and somehow managed to remove my cap lock key from it's clip. I managed to only get it somewhat attached partly to keep it from disappearing before I could take it to a computer repair place to fix it. I got tired of it popping loose before I could do that and decided to find a FYI video. Thank you for posting these and I was able to pop it right back onto the clip securely. I do have one plastic knob on the back of the key that broke off when she snapped it off, but the 3 remaining did snap onto the clip just fine.

Hi please my backspace is working automatically that is pressing itself and deleting whatever I typed. It does this occasionally but uncontrollably when it does. Will I need to change the whole keyboard? Or what do I do?

@@ChillCampbell This video is a tutorial on how to replace a key. If your keys are not working but are not mechanically broken, troubleshoot them as seen here; kzread.info/dash/bejne/qaWmxcqfoMewj9o.html. You have already tried those steps and they did not help?

The keyboard I needed to fix was slightly different from this one (Dell laptop rather than HP), but this video still helped. Now I can use my left shift key again, thanks! :)

Does the backspace supposed to have two stabilizer clips?

so one of the little metal pieces that holds the stabilizer bars, it broke somehow, and i removed the key and noticed it was completely broken off, how do i fix this problem?

thank god there's a way to fix these new keyboards. I'm so use to the old-school keys that slide on. these new keys are scary to mess around with... looks like these keys are cheaply made when the old-school Apple Mac or Windows 95 keyboard seems to be less fragile

Hi! Having some difficulties with my shift key on my acer laptop. The layout is very similar to under your key. I tried snapping it in but the bottom right part of the key is still raised up and the rest of the key is “sticky” and pushed down. Help?

If you cant put it back then I would guess the most likely cause is the Retainer Clip not being installed correctly. Possibly its broken. Compare it to another one to make sure :)

@@averybelle1301 Most likely it will be a lot more than what you could do it for. They have to charge by the hour at most places and a key replacement only takes minutes.
