Ours looks like it has a burned fuse-y battery type thing inside. It looks like a tiny C battery on the "mother board" (? I'm struggling because I'm not techy or handy, at all.) That looks melted. I'm but sure what I can do. It's glued to the board too. My husband didn't get protection on it and it's only 2 weeks old. Am I screwed?

Wonder if all the battery connectors do match the color of the board :)

My brand new hoverboard run time is around 25 minutes then it cut off power of board. At full charge it was around 41.5 V and after 25 minutes the battery voltage was only 37.8 V for cut off. Why is the voltage still so high and already there was a cut off the power? At wat voltage should the board switch off? Any suggestions?

* this is a true story from 2 days ago * So, I was walking home from university, I turn to a street near my house and there it was- a pile of tennis rackets, books and a grey bed Doona, AND A BLACK HOVERBOARD. I take the hoverboard home. Since I have my own hoverboard, I had a charger. So I use the charger for the hoverboard, and I wait overnight. Then in the morning I come to test if it works, and I take the charger out, turn it on, and yes it turned on! But it goes BEEP BEEP when I step on it. In the middle there's a battery symbol ⛔️, and there's a circle symbol 🅾️, when it BEEPS, the circle turns red. And I think it's indicating that I shouldn't step on it. And the battery symbol goes red too. And if I put the charger back in, when it's on, a green light flickers. SO I WAIT ANOTHER DAY and it's the same result. Idk what to do. Maybe the person who put it on the street did it on purpose, maybe it didn't work but I don't know. Please help :(

im so more than glad to find your video on youtube. i have been struggling for months worrying where to find ways to fix my electric unicycle. this video is the same explained the same thing that happened with my electric unicyle. 1. unicyle turns on when plugged 2. turns off when unplugged 3. when being charged the charger light turns green for hours but the device is still left uncharged. question: is the battery oack or circuit board the problem?

Would it still be the battery if I took the battery out and tested it and it showed 33v out of the said 36v on the battery? My hoverboard also just turns itself on when I plug it in and it won’t turn off with the switch. It stays on until the battery dies, I have found the black cable was broken right on the end of the switch and the red cable was fine so could it be a possibility I just need the switch? Also figured I’d mention the red light on the charger only comes on sometimes and when it says it’s charged it will drain to dead within 1 hour of taking it off the charger.

Do all hoverboards have the same hook-ups?

The battery model on this video is HY-BSE-1002U. However I personally cannot find that exact model anywhere online. If someone knows where to find the exact model it would be very helpful. The video is great but I am mystified by the fact that the battery model is never mentioned on the video itself or any of the answers to the many people asking the question. Almost like the precise answer is being avoided. My initial research makes me believe there's a chance that battery seen in this video may be discontinued. And the few online results that come up when searching for the battery cost between $56 and $99, with batteries that do not look the same. It is possible that the best solution is to buy a new hoverboard, which is unfortunate.

If your battery is bad, you would need to order a new one :)

When I turn on my hoverboard it blinks the green battery icon and the lights but doesn’t turn on even if it’s charged it still doesn’t turn on it does the blinking but when I plug in my charger it turns me n but dead and wen it’s charged while the plug is in it it’s still dead and when I pull it off it turns right back off

Hi, thanks for this video, may you offer me a hint, my son´s hoverboard immediatelly starts moving one side by only turning it on. Even there´s no foot on the plate. The other side I can activate by pushing the plate (rubber mat). But this side doesn´t turn off again when I step off. I recalibrated it and sure it stays safe in the middle. But no way using it. That may be an issue with one or both of the stabilizer boards on either side, or an issue with the main board itself. Hard to say without testing

Hm. Happy too soon. Battery wont charge.. charging adapter shows green and red blinking. Board works about 2 minutes. Then stops immediatelly without warning. Think the battery is dead. Sad but true

@PC Monkey, we were gifted a new Hover-1 model no. HY-CHR. It charged for 1st use. After the battery died, we're experiencing same problem you present. We've had the hover board for a month. The gifter misplaced the receipt and the company only gives a 30 day warranty. You can only reach them by email or help ticket 😒 So, do you truly propose we need a new battery seeing the hover board was fresh out the box (new) when we got it in January?

There should be a brand, model number, Volt rating and Amp rating on your battery. You should be able to find all that info from the battery label

@@astro_des3758 the same thing was happening with two that I have one started charging after like 3 hours the other didn't charge at all so try leaving it charging for some time checking that the battery doesn't feel hot. It might start charging

Mine works fine, the battery its brand new so i don't have problem with that, the issue is when i plug it in to charge in about 10 minutes it starts beeping like crazy until you step on it and ride it, also the on/off button doesn't do anything but everytime i press it it beeps, so i'm really confused on what's happening. If anyone know how to fix this issue please tell me cause i'm getting really desperate at this point

Those screws for the lithium ion battery are galvanized screws they don't work with magnetized screw drivers

Would you be able to do mine lol it is exactly like yours just a bit messed up

If you have a red flashing light on one side and it wont move and Recalibrate doesn't fix it... Check all plugs and wires are getting good connection (Especially the 5 wire sockets). If they are and it still don't move then it probly has a blown output fet on the side thats red. They're easy to change.. MAKE SURE BATTERY IS UNPLUGGED!! Measure the Mosfets, 6 on a heatsink per side(GDS)... Usually only 1 or 2 short... DMM to Diode, Neg on Center pin (Drain), Gate approx +1.5v, Source approx .5v. YST7575C crosses to RU6888R 68v 88a TO220 *** For the 12 Fet Mainboard Model, one bank of Fets controls one drive wheel. Do a continuity test to figure out what bank controls what side.. Each bank of Fets, are broken into pairs per thick drive wheel wire (YGB)..

The Mainboard would be on the opposite side as seen here. You would remove the outer case the same way and then remove the screws holding the Mainboard down. Also, make sure to unplug the wires going from it to the other components :)

You would look at the battery currently in there. It should show the brand name and model number along with the Volt Amp etc ratings.

my hoverboard when i turn on is blinking and the charger is green. we charged it for 11 hours now and its still orange and the charger is still green... does this work? or do i need to buy a new battery already?

You need a new one because that’s exactly what his does in the video and mine does the same thing, and no it doesn’t work

Are these still dangerous or have they improved the risks of fire or explosion?
