For those who think this is too complicated, try breathing into the gap between the mouse and the mouse button, this will discharge any static electricity build up causing the double clicking issue. (Works for me)

You don't need to replace the switch, most of the time the problem is not the switch, but the build-up of static electricity when your room humidity is too low. I just blow in-between the spaces of the buttons so that the hot air from my breath will increase the humidity inside the mouse and discharge static electricity. It works for me so far, but I do admit it gets annoying sometimes since you have to blow it occasionally. One option is to fix the humidity of your room since it could affect your other electronic gadget as well, but that isn't easy. My room is always around 18 to 20% humidity so my place is highly susceptible to static electricty. Check yours if you have the same problem as mine, it might save you the trouble of opening and replacing a switch. 👍😀

I too had the double click issue on two of my g102's and one Ikari Optical. Just re-tensioning of the spring and cleaning of the contacts with Alcohol have fixed the same double clicking issue on the most used left click switch on all three mice. People should try that before replacing the switch altogether. I was just about to order switches online and decided to do the above on one of the mice just as an experiment and am glad it worked. Saved 3 mice from the trash. The Omron switched on amazon India are 800rs for 4. The 2nd G102 i bought I was thinking its only 500 more. Lets just get a new mouse. a year later the double click issue popped up again. Glad did not buy a more expensive mouse this time. Many thanks to the guy who shared the switch repair stuff on youtube and instructables.

This worked out for me. As someone else stated in the comments, the Omron Japan switches stick out a little bit further than the original switches, so the mouse is a little more sensitive to clicks than usual. Aside from that, it seemed to have worked out fine for me so far. The only thing I really wish I had at the time was something to hold the PCB with as trying to hold the PCB and soldering iron was a total PITA when attempting to desolder.
You can repair the buttons too. I didn't replaced the button instead put little amount of mustard oil on buttons in a way it gets inside the box. I used to do it to fix my radio controller car's remote. It works in this case too. Oil helps remove static energy which makes the switch work normally m
I don't know anything 'bout soldering. For people like me, if you have a spare/defective (not the clicker) mouse, try prying and opening the clicker/button box; Replace the copper hammer/spring. Other springs don't look the same as the G102, but you can trim some parts of the spare spring to let it fit.
Planning to do this soon. I did the non-solder version a year ago - just open it up, clean up the metal parts with alcohol, then bend it. The double clicking came back again recently lmao. Thanks for this tutorial. Edit: I successfully done it yey! I didn't have any soldering removal tools like a sucker or wick. Just followed what you did in the tutorial without touching the PCB.

NO NEED TO OPEN DOUBLE CLICK ISSUE FIXED!!! Issue: Whenever you click once the mouse registers a double click. It causes problem to drag and click. FIX and EXPLANATION: This issue is caused by static electricity buildup inside your mouse (if the mouse isn't broken). To fix this, simply breathe into the gap between the mouse and the mouse button. Our breath has enough moisture to discharge the static electricity. This should help in removing the static electricity buildup. Generally when the environment is of low humidity or the buttons are clicked in rapid succession, static electricity tends to build up. This is a common problem in mouse since there's no other way for the static charge to be discharged.
