I've done this before on my Rlaarlo buggy, but took the tie rod and shock off as well. Glad to have found this video, as I now see that I was doing more work than necessary to access the diffs. Thank you!

@@RoadsideRC I bought the am-d12 and it sounds like some gear slippage when accelerating from a complete stop. As I mentioned before I’m new to the RC world looking for some answers my most recent video gives examples of the sound I’m talking about feel free to check it out and comment what you think is going on if you have time!

Very helpful thank you cause im just getting back into the hobby after a few years owned mainly Traxxas vehicles but you really can't beat these relaarlor brand Rc's at this price point and plus the parts availability ive been able to find online along with upgrades so i will most likely be buying this particular buggy.

I also broke a control arm at some point. So would suggest making sure you have spares there. Hope you have fun with it!!

@@RoadsideRCfinally got it in the mail. Fixed it. Took it back out. Front one broke. Thankfully I ordered 2 the first time! Do you know of any replacement diffs that I can get not from rlaarlo and have to wait 3-4 weeks?

What if all 4 wheels aren't spinning? I just put my AM-X12 back together after some cleaning and maintenance. Been pulling my hair out trying to figure out where I went wrong and why the drive shaft isn't engaging when I rotate the front or rear wheels in the same direction.

I would suggest starting from the motor side of the driveline. When you spin the motor - follow the driveline path. See when things stop moving - that will give you a clue for what is wrong.

@@RoadsideRC ended up being a super easy fix. Grub screw on the drive shaft was loose. Funny how that works out after scratching my head for a good hour and taking everything apart twice.

I'm curious about something and maybe you can help.. I'm looking for an ESC programming card that is compatible with the 45A ESC in this Rlaarlo. I was going to buy a cheap Surpass Hobby card off of Amazon and give it a try, and just send it back if it's not compatible, but figured I would see if you can maybe steer me in the right/better direction. Thanks!

Sorry, I never even attempted to try to program this. Instead of using Amazon in that way, how about you just email Rlaarlo and ask? They usually are pretty responsive to messages.

@@RoadsideRC Rlaarlo told me that the ESCs can't be programmed but that they will be improving on that in the future. Oh well, I just wanted to tweak some things, no biggie. Thanks again for the suggestion!

Hi Thomas. Unfortunately, I am not sure what noise you are talking about, so it is hard for me to answer. As long as the car is driving fine, I would assume it is OK.

@Roadside RC at the end of your video you turn both rear wheels to turn all 4 wheels and it makes grinding noise is that normal cheers

Hey so i just bought my rlaarlo buggy same one as on video and i used it for about 10min the i put battery to charge for about an hour or 2 put battery back in bug was running fine for about a minute and then it all turn off so i tirned rc back on and again good for a minute and turns off and now it wont stop doing that keeps turning off after a minute of use

The battery is dead. You need a better charger. The ones these come with are very bad. Something like this will be MUCH better for you: alnk.to/5Q5sCA9

Honestly - I don't remember. It is the stock gearing.

Yeah, mine broke in the same spot. Of course I did about 20 cartwheels on the crash before it broke the next crash was mild, and that’s when it actually broke. Go figure. Lol.
