Thought all these things were gonna help , because that's what's going on my remote won't bring me to the options screen

ive tried eveything. Whatever i try it controller still wont work in safe mode. Ive got the origonol cable, tried other cables. I dont have any USBs olugged in. Tried a phone cable in the back, i reset with a toothpick. How am suppoused to rebuild the database on my brand new PS5 if i cant access my controller in safe mode? Please help.

Had this same issue - turns out it was my USB-c cable (not sure why as it’s brand new) - swapped it for another non original cord and it worked instantly

I reset my ps5 for my friend and he says the controller isn’t connecting and idk what to do

I’ve tried everything but I’m still stuck on plug in the PlayStation controller to the PS five and the PlayStation controller says it’s charging but will not connect to the PlayStation no matter how hard I try even in safe mode it will not connect to any PS five or PS4 controller stuck on the PlayStation five controller to PlayStation five but the controller will not connect no matter how can I fix this?

Just let me use the controller without the USB Sony. Is it really that hard?

My ps5 can’t read my pad. Any solutions?

If people are still having this issue, all i did after trying a few different cords and not getting anywhere was used my Samsung phone cord and it worked. Sony needs to get their crap figured out. I'm seriously thinking about going back to pc.

Thanks bro, I didn't have the original ps5 controler cabl. Was thinking it was the problem. I just used a phone cable and it worked.

I don't know why you can't just use the controller regularly without the cable in safe mode

My controller is fully charged, tried different usb cables, tried resetting the controller, tried the rear usb port, nothing works still.

Literally nothing not even a ps4 controller turns on the light goes orange saying it’s charging but i press the button and nothing happens controller doesn’t turn on and I can’t get into safe mode

If this video don’t help. When you see the safe mode screen just hold down the power button on your ps5 until it fully switches off and then switch it on again using the power button

I just fixed mine. Basically just hold down the power button on your ps5 when you see the safe mode. Then don’t let go until it’s fully turned off. Then press the power button again

You’re a genius, this actually worked for me with a PS4 controller and a micro USB instead of USB C with P5 controller. I tried 3 different USB C cord including the original and it would only cause controller to light up orange and not access safe mode to rebuild database. I read your comment and thought I should try with a PS4 controller. Thank you, I appreciate 🙏🏾
