It worked for Me, my calculator is Fx-991 ES Plus 2nd Edition. When I first bought it I tested it at the store, works well. But 2 days later when I brought it to school during my engineering classes, it just wont turn on, but it turns on when there's sunlight on it's panel, and so it's "solar powered" now, I struggled with it up until I saw this video. Thank you very much! I opened my calculator and I tried removing my battery, and placed it back again (I failed at removing it because it got locks, and I was hesitant to remove it and lazy haha) and when I pushed it down I tried to click the on button, and it worked! I closed it again and sealed it and voila. Thank you thank you thank you!

@@krueed9349 in most of the branded, calculators a screen type solar panel/cell is there in calculator,so when you expose it in sunlight or some light it starts charging,i would prefer sunlight more because it is the best source of energy. In Casio calculator, a sun symbol appears at the top right corner when it starts charging,it indicates charging.

Yes, they also work. But to run your scientific calculator on its built in solar panel you need light.

It seems like your calculator has dust inside it or your calculator buttons ard damaged. Try gently cleaning the keys with a small brush or compressed air. You may need to consider getting the calculator repaired by any electronics repairing shop or may get it replaced.

Then make sure the battery is inserted correctly and the polarity is correct also make sure the battery is new and up to date or clean the battery holder contacts or check the battery contacts for damage. If these solutions doesn't work that it's better to buy a new scientific calculator.

I am 12 that's why I didn't understood what to do...is there is no other way to fix it?😔

Wa ʿalaykumu s-salam. Your printed circuit board(PCB) of scientific calculator might be damaged. Take your calculator to any electronics company they might figure it out and help you fix the equal button problem.
