How to fix an exhaust blowing/leak on a fiat
Car: 2006 Fiat Grande Punto 1.2 litre
Task: Exhaust leakage, failed MOT. Initially my mechanic said the exhaust needs up to £160 worth of repairs which was ridiculous, so i decided to do it myself. I am not a professionally trained mechanic but I do like to get my hands dirty.

Just had the same issue, good old Kwack Fit :-) inspected mine gave me a story that the exhuast doesnt come in section instead a single part LOL ???? When questioned where the leak was from was told ah theres a hole at the front so you need an entire exhaust. 450 pounds LOL. Went to local garage on ramps showed me it was just the gasket, swapped out job done.
Good on you, we do the same thing on our car as well. Am sick of the sucking in of air and the shaking of the head of the mechanic, "oh this will be a big job, and I want to make some money (more like it)" !! Bring on "affordable" electric cars for EVERYDAY folk and not just the rich!!!
