That was truly amazing. I've been sitting here for two hours, hitting buttons, surfing the internet, searching my internet provider's website...nothing. I come to youtube and find you, in less than 20 seconds, my fire tv stick (gen 3) is working again. Thanks so very much!

How can I do method 3 if my FireStick does not have a power button? It only has the microphone button. My screen goes blank when its loading the fire tv animation.

Method 3 did it!!! After jumping through hoops with the Fire TV stick, all it took was leaving the tv on, unplugging it and holding the power button DOWN on the Fire TV remote for 30 seconds. Plugged the tv back in and the Fire TV home page came right up. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

Did not worked for me

I had the black screen after firetv logo disappeared. I disconnected the firestick from the HDMI port and power Supply for about 5 min. I also unplugged the tv and accidentally rebooted my modem by disconnecting its power too. Plugged everything back in after modem rebooted and it FINALLY WORKS. Setup process is working as it should.

Holy cow it worked, thought I was going to have to call someone to fix it, what causes these things to go down?

thank you so much my amazon fire stick had not been working for the past three or four days every time i tried turning it on and all it did was load on a black screen i tried method one and it instantly came back on

Tried all these and they are confusing. The video tells us to hold up and rewind but then the picture has the right pad and back buttion.

Whenever I'm watching movies on the tv with firestick whenever a action happens it flickers a lot sometimes get dark by any chance you what it is? Not sure if its the frame rates

First i got Fire TV logo and then my TV shows Invalid Format and a pop sound came from TV.

I have a question for you it it's ok. I try to watch espn with my fire stick and it kind of lags. I've already deleted all the apps I don't use cause I heard it's a memory issue but it still lags.

Hi friend, please keep the router close to the firestick. Sometimes unplug the power cable from firestick, tv and router for 3 minutes. Hopefully this will help you to solve the problem. I have 2 fire tv sticks on 2 separate tv's and both are having the black screen issue when I click to play a video! Mine just started last night too.

#3 fixed it! Basically just unplug your tv… if that don’t work I unplugged my tv then held start and pause and then plugged it back in

This also works for those with the grey screen problem!!

Hello, I know im kind of late to the video, but hopefully you could still answer my question. I am trying to get the Tenchis app on my amazon fire tv stick and everytime I open the app the screen goes black, but its only on that app! Do you have any suggestions on what I could do to fix it?

Please unplug the firestick from power source. Wait few minutes the re check issue. If not work that’s mean Internet connection issue or application bug problem. Please keep your router and firestick in the same place and be close. Hopefully this will helps you to resolve the problem. However any difficulties please let us inform and subscribe the channel. Everything I did, explained in video but somehow this did not work in my Kevin Brand TV and 3rd Gen stick. Everytime blank screen after logo appearing. Dont know what to do now.

Hi lalit kumar, this is happening due to firmware problem. So please go to the boot menu and clear cache memory from boot menu. And restart the firestick. Hopefully this will help you to solve the problem. Any difficulties please let me know. yea this sucks. got it yesterday, worked fine on the main living room samsung tv.. got home from work today and turned it on and it keeps flashing to a black screen every 5 seconds. tired it on the samsung tv in the spare bedroom and it works fine. ive replaced the cable. swapped hdmi ports, plugged it into the wall, switched chargers... and keeps flashing. worked fine yesterday i dont get it.

#3 fixed it! Basically just unplug your tv… if that don’t work I unplugged my tv then held start and pause and then plugged it back

I have a black screen with the Amazon logo. I don't have the original remote, I downloaded the fire tv remote app to my mobile. it won't connect to my fire stick. And I don't see any where in my tv options that says wifi, I have a 32" sceptre, the fire stick is plugged in but I just can't seem to get pass the black screen with the Amazon logo. I tried all the methods in this video and I still can't get the screen to come on. I have a Toshiba FireTV 55lf621c19. I can use a flashlight and faintly see the screen. Do you have any further suggestions that I can try? Thank you for your video. It is the most informative I've found regarding this issue.

Okay, On my firestick when I go to subscriptions and click on it everything is black. Will not Livestream from subscriptions or play anything on any channel from subscriptions, but will if I search. I have checked to see if KZread was having an issue but can bring everything up fine on the laptop. Just not firestick on TV. I have rebooted and unpluged and all...any suggestions?

Thank you. Restart was all that was needed

After using amazon firestick for five minutes in between any videos or in between any other process it goes all blank and i have to again switch off and on the tv and device to connect but it repeats every time

I need help I have a blank screen but before it state that the fire stick had no more room and to delete apps but I can't delete when I can't see anything on the screen to go to. How do I delete apps if I can even see anything on the screen? Help

I got a Toshiba fire tv. My kids keep complaining after watching tv screen black out. I press back button and nothing. I thought it was sleeper but not the problem. Can you help me out?

Hi friend, thanks for reaching out to me. This is happening due to connection problem or power supply issues. 1. Use another 2.0 amp power supply adapter ( ex: samsung smart phone charger) 2. Use external hdmi cable and change the port. Or plug in directly. 3. If not work then check it with another tv. Hopefully this will help you to solve the problem. Hi Matt Thornton, firestick goes black randomly and kick to Home Screen. Please check below instructions: 1. Disconnect all external devices from tv along with firestick. 2. Unplug the power plug of tv from the wall. 3. Wait 5 minutes and connect the firestick to tv tightly. 4. Now recheck the issues. If not work then use hdmi extension cable for connecting the firestick. 5. If above method doesn’t work then update the firmware and reset the settings to factory settings. I have a blank home screen with options on top of screen. I can get to settings etc.., but can not get to my apps. It has 3 dots at bottom that r blinking. I tried all the hacks. Even reset to factory settings n still the same. What should I do?

Method 2 was working great! After step 4 de logo came out and it said restarting, then the logo again and back to black and “no signal” on my tv :(
