Maybe fill that big hole on the paddle in with some of the shoe goo and it might help protect the seem from splitting apart again

This fix worked amazing for me. So far one season on it and it held up perfectly good no noticeable change!!

Good stuff that shoe goo. I know a guy who used it to re attatch an entire lug on his track. That one that was split in half, I would have also filled the hole with shoe goo after you glued it. That loctite stuff is also used in Oring splicing kits to make custom sized orings. Its basically as strong as the original rubber if done properly!

I know my situation is different but I used shoe goo when my pegs on my motocross bike over time dug a hole in the bottom of my motocross boots. I filled the hole in till it was even with the rest of the sole of the boot. Let it set for several days and I will tell you what that stuff held up really well lasted a year of racing and it doesn’t fall out it slowly wears. Amazing stuff. Been using it for 10 years. Also where you showed that split and hole between the paddle in your track... yes you can use that shoe goo and it will hold up very well.

I've seen a guy on video that uses Shoe Goo for mending cracked seats too. It's not a tailer or restoration type fix but it holds up on his vintage riders and looks decent compared the old duct tape job. If you do vintage stuff at all, this guy has a lot of useful info. Nutters Speed Shop.

How long does the primer stay before you apply the 404? Or do you do that immediately after brushing the primer on?

I've got some Argo tracks that are in sickly shape. Might try something like this for repairs until I can afford some new ones.

I wonder if the black shoe goo is the same as E6000? I've had good luck with E6000 which I've used on a dry rotted track to seal up the cracks. I figure if I can keep moisture out the cracks will stop growing and the internal fibers / cords will hold together. *I did this on a 340 Arctic cat that wasn't worth putting a new track on.

My son (licensed mechanic) told me to use a permatex silicone called "The right stuff" on my track, haven't tried it yet.

@@mainetroutwhisperer Admittedly I have been lucky my turbo has not and it is at 3k. II gave my daughter's track the goo treatment last night thanks dude! Her 550 is at 6.3k and will do 12k easy before it needs the seals cracked.

@@chrisborns5972 awesome! Hope it works for you! My issue with this sled is because the tunnel isn’t painted. The 2012 was bare aluminum. After that they were all painted and no issues.
