YOURE THE SAME AGE AS ME, IF YOU CAN DO IT, I SHOULD BE ABLE TO DO IT. I SHOULD UNSCREW THE TOILET SEAT FIRST THEN TRY TO REMOVE IT TO SEE EXACTLY HOW MY TOILET SEAT FITS ON MY TOILET THEN TRY TO FIX IT.

Bill you bloody legend! I've had a new bathroom for three years and the toilet seat has kept coming loose. I've been on me back tightening those bastard little plastic claw strews every couple of weeks. It's ten in the morning here but my wife seriously just suggested we crack a bottle of bubbles to celebrate our newly secured toilet seat.

WOW! Bill you are amazing! I have a gorgeous glitter toilet seat with hidden fixings in my bathroom! My lovely neighbour, who has been a knight in shining armour to me, fitted my new toilet seats and advised me that if they ever came loose, that he would be happy to readjust them. As a single, almost 60 year old woman, I like to be as self sufficient as possible. Without having to keep asking other kind souls for help. I googled for help on this issue, and hey presto, your video came up in exactly the right place for taking off the toilet seat and adjusting the hidden screws!!! OMG - I found a selection of screwdrivers, as I had no idea which one would work and with incredible ease, removed the toilet seat and tightened the screws and now it doesn't move. I feel very happy and incredibly accomplished now I have fixed my wiggly seat! A very happy fan! 😍 I could hug you!! x

Bill, thanks for the help! My American Standard toilet seat was very loose, and I felt intimidated about trying to fix it myself. I followed your instructions closely, and it turned out to be much easier than I thought. Now 1) the seat no longer slips out of position, and 2) it is much easier to clean around the round white cover. It's funny, I never once thought of pulling the seat cover vertically to remove it. You made me appreciate the DIY idea, plus you saved me a plumber's house call.

You sir are a champ. I would have called a plumber.
