Ойын-сауық
How to fix a seized airmaster oil cooled air compressor.
Removing the ancilliaries, stripping down the cylinder head, diagnosing the fault - a seized conrod due to lack of oil.
Replacing the part and reassembling / testing the function.
Thanks to 'Machine Mart' for the prompt part delivery and friendly advice.

i dread to think if mines still working its been sat in the shed for three years (-; cant wait to see you make a start on the dragon
John, you should mis-align the piston rings to avoid blow-by; orientate the gaps at 120deg to each other. If in the future you're not generating enough pressure, that may be the cause? Anyway, it was thankfully a quick fix. Looking forward to the Dragon!

Cheers Tony, yeah I did wonder about that as I did but seems perfectly ok, I've got plenty of hours on it since then and 'touch wood' no issues with pressure. Yep Dragon vid next! Will be a few parts to it, its pretty complex and time hungry but I'm hoping its going to be an epic piece. Been a long time in the planning and dreaming stage!
Stagger the gaps mate!
Where did you get the connector rod?

Hi folks,I got the same compressor 8/550 ,it was failing to start so I changed the capacitor and it started to run but after 2 days when I plug it on its failing to start ,the motor makes a noise as its stuck ,any suggestions fellows ?

Usually that hum is a sign of a failing or failed capacitor I think. Was the replacement rated the same as the original? I'm no expert but it sounds like there is not enough to get the motor started. Maybe have a good look at all the wires, make sure they aren't corroded and arent causing a higher resistance between the capacitor and the motor?
Dear John, how are you? Where can I find spare parts. My 8/50 motor is burnt. Thanks

Hi Gary. Yeah surpisingly easy although I can't remember where I got the new part off the top of my head. UK supplier though, turned up next day if memory serves and not expensive.
