had error code 15, tried everything in my firewalls settings but nothing worked. Opened up notepad and deleted every line that mentioned spotify and now it works! Thank you!

Thanks man, worked instantly. Make sure to delete anything that says "spotify" in that file, not just the DNS configurations as some other things can mess with the proxy.

ITS LEGIT .. I WAS A BIT SCARED TO WHEN I WAS DELETING THOSE SPOTIFY CMD LINES , IF YOU HAVE A DOUBT YOU CAN COPY PASTE THEM IN ANOTHER NOTEPAD FOR TRUST ISSUES . i couldnt open spotify for months . Thanks.
