Did you replace the thermal paste? Really nice vid though. I feel like they don't last much longer than 5 years until fuses blow or Batterys swell up. But overall solid when they work.

Fuses are nice and easy to test and replace, but you need to find out what caused them to blow in the first place. Louis Rossmann always avoids testing fuses as even if they are bad they likely are not the problem. Check for shorts. I understand it is harder to work on these less common models of machine compared to a mac, but you still should check for shorts.

hi, do you know if there's a way I can diagnose a key that don't register presses on a razer blade keyboard? maybe testing for continuity with a multimeter works? I can't test for myself right now but if it is possible I might buy or borrow a multimeter so I can see if the problem is in the key itself or not

im really curious about how u can replace the fuse part, i mean where u getting the fuse? is it from another laptop or the fuse part can be buy online separately

great video and lots of useful things and always learning with electronics , but i have a tricky laptop problem if you can help? Wont turn on and no lights, screen ect- totally dead- PS is good. Switch is good and 3v is there shorting to zero when pressed. **** When plugged in, the blue light at the power socket flashes blue for a sec . (normally always on when plugged in) PS socket resistance is only 8000 ohms?? and same unplugged where it connects to M/B so not socket wiring fault. Pulled it all apart and 19v is there through the input mosfets and sense resistor. cant find 19V elsewhere on main power rail . So power mosfets are turned on by super IO? partially on but fault detected somewhere? 3V isnt at bios chip next to super IO if it is the bios chip? no volts on any leg. No 8 should be 3V always i think pulled all parts off board to see if they are causing short or drag down Tried my PS direct to board socket pins and NO amps are being drawn and with switch pushed in too. Fan dosent twitch. CPU ect are cold as no amps drawn Tried resistance to ground of many parts and cant find any shorts So slightly ON but not fully. Super IO fault? Also screen disconnected in case that was faulty and 19V is at connector to screen Any one can help , that be appreciated as out of ideas. 8000 ohms here must mean something as should be hundred k or more and i hear HP's can be down to 20K? obviously something is wrong, first board i have repaired where socket light isnt staying on although board has partial 19V on it. Learning board repair so always learning and this one has stumped me so far, but might be easy with 8000 ohms symptom? thanks

Please help! Recently my blade stopped working, no power, no lights, no nothing. I tested the motherboard like you showed and the power stops pretty much near the beginning, so I bought a new motherboard and have it installed, but now my screen has somewhat of a vignette around mostly the left and right edges and is pretty dim in general. Is this a motherboard problem or am i missing something? The problem is happening even in the bios. The touch screen is fully functional but just dim.

Hi dear I think you can answer one of my problem. I recently baught a Razer blade 13 from ebay verified microsoft store. The device hardware is all the same as listed in the website however the system information says it is an ACER laptop {predator} How can it be possinle? What actually they did with the laptop. This version should have Windows home but I got Windows pro. I really dont understand whether to keep this or return.

Guys i have a problem the razor blade i have went black when my friend tried to install bios 1.06 then it blue screen turns on but nothing happens in the screen no load ups anyone know anything how do i even flash the software

Also, are you still fixing things during COVID?

I think I'm having almost the same issue, my razer blade laptop backlight is blown but the display is still functional (Touch screen). I can use it with an external screen but I'd love to fix the display. I've sent you guys a mail in request, I'm wondering how much does a typical repair like this average?

The repair in this video is not a backlight repair. The laptop we worked on was completely dead no display, only the keyboard backlight was working. Your issue might be different. We will follow up with your mail-in request.

Interesting, I have a Razer Blade that shows the BIOS screen, but doesn't go beyond. I've never been able to find a schematic so I've never opened them up to have a look, but this doesn't look too painful.

Awesome , in glad i just find your video , i have whats looks like same model , but my ssd is broken and when im trying to install a new one bios recgonize properly the new nmve ssd but when im trying to boot affter razer logo disolays turns off ( leting blackligth on ) and i cant install windows using usb booteable i try secure boot off , giving efi permision ,i try every bios setup but aleats happend same , eaven instaliing windows in another laptop and then installing ssd and always displays goes off affter razer logo , any suggestion ? Some email where i can send you a video , i do microsoldering to bro but i just repair iphones , and in trying yo fix this laptop ,.. you know if i can make a bios repair or something ? check to see if the computer is recognizing the ssd in the bios, also, some boards do not support nvme but only accept sata ssd, check your manual and see. We have all of our contact info in the description if you are interested in mail-in repairs

Can you upload a video fixing the Razerblade boot loop, even after restoring.I was told it’s a hardware issue causing the boot loop.

The processor is soldered to the board. If you are looking to speed things up, make sure you have a solid state drive installed 😉

Where is the CMOS Battery at? I need to reseat it

The blue ribbon cable going over the battery, mine has come off on both ends. I managed to place the ribbon back on closest to the edge of the machine, but the other side it has come off completely. It came off due to the battery swelling which I replaced, any tips on how to get the ribbon back on?

Having this problem now.....Blade 15 RZ09-023857W1 can't access any option to.restore /Bios ......please help me.

while i understand and would never leave old paste on my machine, this guy is getting paid to fix it, not maintain it. though it might be a courtesy to do so from now on

welp my razer can't charge and have quite a burning smell arnd the port. the whole blade is fine but it can charge

Dude I dropped my Razer laptop 3 feet and the keyboard is no longer functioning they lights where working for a bit but then they went off now it’s useless and I need to plug in a keyboard any ideas on what happened
