Blessed you be good sir! It worked like a charm for me, the most complicated part was finding a usb C to usb C cable!

Worked for me on MacBook Air 2020 M1! Rear port wasn't working, plugged it into itself, got a modal window asking to trust this computer or something, accepted, and after removing the cable I can now plug in to both. Mild genius!

Wow, worked for me too. One of my ports would work for charging but would not work with my mouse or ssd. When I connected the two ports to each other I got a pop-up window asking whether or not to trust the USB Macbook Air device. I clicked allow and now the port works normally again. wtf

Damn! I spilled coffee on mine and they stopped working. When I watched this video I thought you were messing with is now my ports are working! Legend my man!

Thanks @qumit165 it fixed the port for me.. but my main issue is still there.. like with c to c Im able to transfer files between mac and android. But iphone c to lighting cable is not detecting neither the c type mac charger 🤔

The entire thing sounds stupid, but it worked for me. None of my ports were working. I tried restarting multiple times, but it didn't worked. I tried this method as I was texting apple support and it somehow worked. No idea how you figured this out, but thanks a lot.

Really interesting. I spilled some water on my port as well, and I thought it was dead forever. I tried your tried, and surprisingly, this double plug in does get the "charging" reaction out of the second port - so it's not completely dead! However, I am still unable to use it after that step, it's not charging when plugged into electricity.

can you try to fix my issue please? so basically its pretty similar to what happened to you, i have just the same Macbook air m1 2021, and the same adapter as yours, but instead, my macbook simply doesnt detect the adapter, i tried connecting adapter to other wires to see if the problem is with my adapter, but the adapter did works simply with everything, but not my macbook. Look, imagine i want to charge my phone, but my wire is USB A to type c, so i connect the adapter to my phone, and yea, my phone gets charged by it, but if i do it other way around and connect adapter to the macbook to try to charge my phone, then my macbook simply doesnt recognize the phone. Its like macbook rejects the adapter. Here is another situation - i dont feel comfortable using the macbook air's trackpad, so i have a mouse, which connects by a usb a port, just like your mouse, so what i do? I connect mouse's wire to the adapter, and adapter to the macbook, and what do you think happens? my mouse glows, lights up, switches on, but if i try to press the mouse, or move the mouse, or try to do whatever with it - it doesnt work on my macbook, and yea, i tried it with multiple mouses, but it still doesnt work. and i want to ask you - ARE THERE MAYBE ANY SETTINGS THAT MAKE MY MACBOOK REJECT THE ADAPTER? SOMETHING LIKE SAFENESS SETTINGS?
