Thanks dude, my parents were saying they needed to buy a new printer. I searched the error code and got this video- after opening it up it turns out the grandchild had thrown a bouncy ball into the workings ^_^

@ 1:23 that is a carriage lock. keeps the print head from moving when it starts up and needs to set zero point for encoder strip. small piece of plastic and an even smaller spring. it's run by the gears on the left moving the bar/gears on the right that move tears in the waste ink tank assembly

On the very left side of the carriage there are two large gears and one small gear with a (plastic) tab that gets pushed toward the print head when it gets near that tab. 0XE8 Error happens there also, along with a screeching sound. Just wondering if that tab causes something else to grind because the print head is actually stopped at that position? Epson WF-3640.

What is wrong if Configuration status sheet(s) can be printed from control panel menu without any problems but normal printing there is always (non-existing) paper jam error?

I havev the xp-434 and and the code 0xea is coming up but I did what you said in the video and it is still coming up with the error that he printer is brand new

I have a primer like the one in the video, it's telling me that the paper is jam but I don't see any paper, what should I do?

I tried to moved the cartridge housing but it's locked in place all the way to the right. I can't access the menu to unlock it. Is there another way to get it to move?

Shut down the printer. Find the electric wire location (to cut off the power). Start the printer and when the printerhead starts moving around take the electric wire off. Now you can move the printerhead freely.

Today I got a new Epson WorkForce WF7610 it didn't have any cartridges in it so I put some in for sublimation continuous printing. I turned it on and the cartridge moved to the left, then made a horrible noise and the Error code OXE3 came up. I did everything you said, I looked for tape, I looked to see if any plastic parts were not in place and it all looked good to me, I moved the carriage back and forth several times and it moved smoothly. When I turned it back on it did the same thing moved to the left and made a horrible noise. Do you have any suggestions?

hi, once I move the carriage to the left. turn the printer back on. it makes a horrible sound and the carriage does not move back to the right like yours in this video. what should I do?

Yes I can move it with no issues, doesn't sound like it is getting caught on anything. But when I turn the printer on it sounds like something behind it almost rips. It's a very loud noise

In my case, the culprit for the error was a nail that found its way to my paper feeder and proceed to get lodged between those rollers that pull the paper...

My error 0xE8 also turned out to be a jam! It was toothpick, resting on the metal ledge below the long, toothy belt, and somehow managing to get stuck in the gear wheels that spin at either end...

hi. I've just bought the Workforce WF-2630 and it was working okay but then all of a sudden when I turned it on again it was saying Error 0x60 turn off and on again which I do but that Error message keeps coming up? Is this going to help my problem? Thank you x

Amy E Phillips does the carriage moves around at all or does it do a couple of beeps and give that error without it moving around?
