I have the briton 2000v the door is recessed so if i fit it according to instructions the body catches the side wall when it is 90 % ooen,can i move the body in an inch to prevent it catching. Would appreciate any help

Just installed the Forstrong 1306 from Amazon. Installation instructions are not accurate but after some additional hole drilling it does close the door now. No matter the tension adjustment though, opening the door requires way too much force. I could not tell in your video if you were pulling hard to open the door or if it opens easy? Is hard to open a normal consequence of using auto door closers? This is my first time doing these and I have (3) more to install in our home to stop kiddo from slamming every door every five minutes.

Great video. Do you know if this could be fitted to a UPVC door?

No, this is generally only for internal wooden doors

Do these stop the doors from being slammed shut by people?

Yes, they make the door close on it's own without having to be pushed.
