Hi Ray, You remind me of my father, he had the same hobby a you have, unfortunately he can't do it anymore. But he build up quite a collection of old radios and he already given already a few of them to me, they are all working condition and I've given a good home. Personally radio electronics isn't my thing, although I do restore other vintage things but that's more mechanical. I got a passion for old 1930-40 music, and a while ago may dad gave me a fake Philips mushroom type of radio, and instead that it got lamps in it, it's got a common transistor radio, I guess it's from the 1980's. So this will be the perfect kandidate to turn into a bleuthooth player for the love of 1940's music, and even it been a fake modern thing, I'm still going to leave the transistor radio disconnected in. I downloaded your booklet, it's all clear to me, and I want to thank you for putting these instruction together, following these instruction is something my skills still can cope with😅 . Best regards, Danny

@@g4nsj Thanks Ray, your small booklet was quite helpful. I ordered all the components needed to fit in Bluetooth system. But today I was thinking it would be a shame to mute the radio, and sinds it's a transistor radio, in an old type of case, why not put in both systems in one device, space enough. The only thing they both got incoming use, is the speaker and the lamp (this I already have transferred into an LED). So, I put in a two way switch on the back, giving 230V AC to the radio or the Bluetooth system, but not to both at once. The phone charger (broken open, used only the naked print only) is already installed, still waiting for all the Bluetooth components to arrive. But I got a question would you put in a diode to the speaker and also the LED, as a one way, so no currency might flow to the part not used, radio or Bluetooth depending on which is in use?

@@dannyvanstraelen3273 I don't think a diode to the speaker would work. Try it and see. Glad you're getting it all together, I like your idea. Cheers, Ray.

What a godsend! I've been looking for ages for something like this. The idea of mixing modern technology but using a vintage single speaker radio and keeping that vintage mono sound is pure genius Check is in the "mail" for your book. This video alone gets a Like/Subscribe/Bell Reply

Hi Ray! you should leave a Amazon link to parts you acquire yourself or where ever you get them from in the description. Amazon will reward you money back for people clicking on the link. Why don't you do the Bluetooth radio conversion in video segments instead of a booklet, this would be a lot better for everybody. There's nothing like seeing it been done visually than just reading or looking at pictures.

Ray is it possible to use the Gram or P.U.input? I know it will be mono, but i would like to try this approach if possible. The old pickups were about 0.5v to 1v output?
