Awesome video Tom! I fish most of the time the Mississippi and WI River because they are close and it's awesome to see some videos on how you take on these locations. Tight lines and keep posting these!
Great start to a curve ball spring guys, I'm liking the small boat series idea. Tribute to all us Weekend warriors!
Awesome video and love the new boat!! I started out walleye fishing in a 1860 triton camo mod v boat. Being a duck hunter it was the best all purpose boat a guy could ask for! Had a 90 merc on the back so the kids could tube behind it, would idle at 1.8 for trolling and could put the blind on it in the fall. Sure miss that boat. Keep the great videos coming!!
Loving the new content! We fish the Missouri River between Lake Francis Case and Lewis & Clark. This content hits home for us and is so helpful! Thank you!

Glad your back great video I also have a 16 ft Lund with a minkota same setup as your john boat the best trolling motor on the market I've ben battling double lung cancer for 6 years can't pull anchors so the potluck
Like how he says keep it simple, while showing a brand new 50hp Yamaha, boat, 2 that is 2 chart plotters and trolling motor. Anyway for those of us that can't afford that much stuff, we will just have to make due. Love the videos on how to find the fish and how to catch them. I will be going over these videos many times trying to figure out how to catch them in my area.
Even if I was getting paid, I could never just be a camera guy on a body of water. lol.

I sold my Lund tiller in 2019 and tricked out my 1542 WE, I was also skeptical about 1 battery but after putting a 100 AMP hour Amped lithium battery in it, I am impressed to say the least. Also as someone who grew up fishing P4 in Jon boats out of the boathouse harbor.... you are right you don't need a big boat just go fish a different spots on any pool , the fish are all over the system
Nice opening shots!

I like the idea of a little boat tour, the majority of the fishermen around here are small boat fishers. that being said if you find yourself in western pa check out pymatuning reservoir, it does have a 20 hp limit but a good walleye fishery, as always great video

Great video, I also find a lot of fish away from the dams in the middle of the old Mississippi. It’s nice not playing bumper boats at the dam all the time!!Caution the Jet Boil may add inches to your waist??lol

Great video again Tom. Just an observation about the augers you caught. You're much more of a walleye pro than me but I'm pretty sure some of those were indeed saugeyes. Spotted fins but a little white tip or streak of white on the bottom of the tail. Augers do not have any white. See what you think.
Hey Tom, Love the videos, great content and tips. What happened to that fancy glass boat??

have you fished the Maumee river for spring walleye
Have you considered putting a measuring device in the boat so you dont have to guesstimate?
I'd really like to know what you're wearing on your hands,,, what kind, (brand?) gloves are you wearing? Spring walleye fishing can get pretty cold, especially on a wet day up here in Canada.
if it has spots on the dorsal it is a sauger, period. saugeye has dusky blotches that run the length of each spine on the dorsal fin.
is that the opening to lake pepin i see in the background?

Tom, do you still have the Warrior? Was hoping to see some Lake Superior lake trout trips this summer.
@TomBoley

I got a feeling we will get out on lake Superior...
Sauger= Black Spots on fins, no white tip bottoms back fin, walleye=no spots and white tip on rear back fin, and saugeyes have both black spots and white tip on tail and, most people think all these types of fish are saugers but most are saugeyes, they have a certain patterns on body like splotches and black spots with white tip. I have fished here before and most are saugeyes. Walleyes are easy to tell the difference but saugers and saugeyes are more difficult to tell apart.
Good video quality and sound. Agree the that camera guy needs to be mic'ed to get the conversation.
Do you ever fish the Wolf river system?
@TomBoley
3 ай бұрын
Yes we have before
Saugeye have a dark blotch on the base of their dorsal fin. Also saugeye and walleye have smooth cheeks (great eating), where sauger have scaly cheeks.
Still have the warrior?
You need to get a line of shirts out called the River rats 😉
What kind of net is that?

@mikemikovsky3112 guys that don't keep them usually like to eat them, they just don't to take it easy of the resource. They're susceptible this time of year especially.
That's first "sauger" was a saugeye. Sauger don't have white tips on their tail.
Don't need all the fancy new fish finders to catch walleye.😊
