How To Fish Luhr-Jensen Dipsy Divers

Спорт

Dipsy Divers are an essential piece of fishing equipment every trolling angler needs to own for catching walleye, trout, salmon and other predator species. Available in four sizes with dive depths of up to 20, 35, 50 and 100 feet, these budget-friendly, multi-directional diving devices make it easy to troll baits at a precise depths, maintain clean trolling spreads and consistently catch fish.
In this instructional video, accomplished multi-species angler and Luhr-Jensen pro, Jeff Chisholm, covers everything you need to know to get started catching fish using Dipsy Divers. He explains how Dipsy Divers work, reviews the four available sizes and demonstrates setting these devices to run off the port side, starboard side or directly behind the boat. From here, Chisholm reviews essential fishing equipment for trolling Dipsy Divers, including trolling rods, line counter reels, braided line, fluorocarbon leaders, Dipsy Diver Snubbers and adjustable rod holders. Moving on to fishing presentations, he talks about using Dipsy Divers to catch walleye on spinner rigs, crankbaits and spoons, as well as trolling flasher-and-fly and dodger set-ups for trout and salmon.

Here's my question..... With the big daddy size 3, i normally alway took the ring off and had no problems figuring depth.. i just got a couple more and left the ring... now im confused cuz the chart dont seem right for the with ring numbers.... 0 setting 60 feet down it says 30 feet of line? How is a depth of 60 feet achieved with onlt 30 feet of line out?

I have never used a Dipsey but strongly considering them. I fish over the tops of trees with spoons on the Missouri River. I need to get down 35ft at 2.0 and 2.5 mph. What dipsey should I get and what pound braid?

We recommend starting with the smallest size 030 (2-1/4") as it's max depth is 20' so you won't get caught on bottom structure. Once comfortable move up to the size 000 (3-1/4") where you have more control over the depths using the depth chart that comes in the package. They recommend running 20 lbs. mono, but using 20-30 lbs braid would work too. Just remember braid ads a little more floatation and less stretch for when the fish hits your bait.

Amigo cual es el motivo que no llegan a Chile los señuelos kwikfish k15 o k16, hace como 5 años que la importadora Normark Chile no trae esos productos, qué puedes hacer al respecto.

I don’t understand why Luhr Jensen doesn’t have a dive chart using braid? The package says 20lb mono and you say braid!

The "line you let out", does that include the line from the rod tip to the water, or just the line below the water?

Nope, just an option to get the baits further away from the boat!
