We call the drum gaspergou down here… they are like any other drum, they taste better when they are smaller… its best to bleed them out but they can get real big… my uncle hooked up on one once and i thought he was pulling out a concrete slab till i saw the eyeballs

Awesome vid man! I mostly post spillway videos myself, we have a lot of fat hybrid stripes down here in Mississippi, and the ol spoon is one of the best baits for them! Definitely subbing, Keep em coming brother!

We usually get the big hybrid stripers from about mid May-June or so, I usually go back and forth between the spoon and a big hair jig for them! I'll definitely be checking your channel out, love some good spillway videos! Appreciate it man!

@@BreamBassBeyond Thanks dude! And yeah My top three hybrid baits, in order, are the zoom fluke jr on a jig head, spoons, and then bucktails. The bucktails work great, but with how pricey they are I lose a bunch to the rocks so I only throw them when we have high water.

Not too far from it, 40-45 minutes or so.

I always say the best fishing always happens when I leave my camera at home lol. Wish you could have gotten that giant!

Fun stuff down there at Gainesville. Especially if you can catch it when there aren’t a dozen lines in the water. Man, you make me nervous going over that rail, though!!

It's in Greene County, you're thinking of Tom Bevill dam in Pickensville. This technique works well there too. Both really good fishing spots!

Everybody there that saw it surface a couple times all said it looked to be 35-40 lbs, we'll never know for sure though unfortunately! Appreciate you watching!

Fantastic fishing and some great catches. I wish we could fish like that here, but our regulations dont allow us to fish within 100 yards of a dam or spillway.
