@@niffleraku u actually have to read the fanfic to understand but ok, *inhales* so, kaeya was killed in battle but, the earth gave way and let him live for another week to fulfill the needs of others. He takes care of Klee and Klee asks him to teach razor to read and write, while Klees back is turned he tells razor to kill him to return him to his homeland (aka genshin heaven) razor sadly agrees. Kaeya doesn't like that he has to get a child to kill him but diluc wouldn't believe him so yea. That night razor killed kaeya, amber finding his body and all of mond crowding before him, diluc gets rlly mad saying he will hunt the killer down. Razor admits it was him and tries to explain but diluc attacks him but venti stops him and fully explains everything. Oh and, kaeyas last wish for diluc is to take care of Klee so that's why she's with him in the end and that he told Klee before he died that he would be going on a mission for a long time and the end is Klee realizing he's actually dead.

I first watched this without reading (or knowing) there was a story that went with it. (Glad I checked the description). Because I heard the song and was honestly annoyed. Like, "why is the so positive sounding when clearly this is supposed to be something crushing???" AFTER reading said story, (and crying unreasonably hard) this song feels like a bullet to the heart. It perfectly reflected Kaeya's choice to...Just keep smiling. It's actually quite painful to think about it in a realistic aspect. How many people just keep smiling through pain to spare others from baring it with them. If you HAVENT read the story, strongly suggest you give it a read to face the full impact of depression.

Dude I didn't even know it was from that one fanfiction, I literally said "I'm getting flashbacks of that one fanfiction.." when it got to the point of Kaeya asking razor to do smth for him. *Then it all clicked around the end*

idk but the most memorable line for me was when Venti said "the wind cried out so long and loud for him, but the earth rose up and held him together long enough to set his affairs in order." it was just so powerful in my opinion, it gave me chills, hands down my favorite quote. OMG AND THE NO RHYMING TODAY PART- the whole thing with venti was just my personal favorite, idk. diluc's realization of how important Kaeya truly was was also incredible, shot me straight through the heart. i have a twin sister and idk all i could think of was her 😭

I found this on tiktok and I knew the title was familiar - when I saw this video and read the comments that mentioned a certain “fanfic” I immediately searched for it to read the whole story. I read it at 3 am… here I am back to this video finally knowing the references and is heart broken. I don’t need sleep, I need to play Genshin to relieve myself from this pain.

Hear me out- I don’t want Kaeya to have a happy ending. I don’t want his story to end with a big ribbon bow on top, I want it to end like seeing shattered glass in a blood stained cathedral. I want his character to have such a big impact that it splits apart the ground like the continental drift, especially on the Knights of Favonious and Diluc, so that the story will never feel the same. Kaeya has got to go out with a bang, his legacy painted across history books as shining gold in maroon covered chapters, littered with silver flashes of swords, echoes of the peoples’ cries, and the orange flickers of gunfire. As the cathedral falls apart with time and war, the beauty of the ruins still remain. *THAT* is how I want to see Kaeya’s story end. A masterpiece of agony. (also because i love angst lol. pardon the rant i wrote this at like 4 am)

I watched this and was "that's sad" I just finished reading the actual story not that long ago(as I'm writing this)...then i re-watched this....oml did I Cry- I was crying my eyes out a little when I was reading the story. I'm extremely attached to Kaeya he's my biggest comfort character as I feel a little connected to him- so this hit hard.

This is beautiful, I love Kaeya’s and Diluc’s backstories, and I can relate to Kaeya, being the younger sibling also, as my relationship with my older sibling is quite strained, since a family tragedy happened, but we still care about each other, through all the constant arguments and sibling rivalry, we will always be family, despite our different views on the world or humanity as a whole.

That fanfic actually broke me and I couldn’t stop thinking about it for months, this animatic is amazing. It really got me in the feels and I just… Kaeya really is my boi and he deserves the world. Contrary to popular opinion, I really hope I pull Diluc, then I can have him and Kae on the same team, fighting side by side again.

The drawing was the end for me it hit me right in the heart I don’t usually cry to videos/animatics but this was done really well-

First time watching it, I had no idea what was happening. It was sad but I’d not read the fic, so I was confused. (But I know the art was good, like holy crap) So I read the fic and came back. Do I regret it? Yes. Seriously, you’ve caused me physical pain. I don’t tend to cry during movies and stuff, but I always get bad stomachaches when I watch/read things that make me sad. It’s like a different version of crying. Well, guess what. Now I’ve got this horrible stomachache to deal with. Why must you hurt me in this way? But seriously, it’s super good. When I first saw this in my recommendations, it seemed familiar when I watched it, then I realized, this is an animatic of the fanfic I was reading earlier ago! It brings back the pain of all the feels I had during my time reading the fanfic! Amazing art though!

I've been watching this animatic since it came out, at first I didn't understand, then I read the fanfic and now I physically *have* to come back every month to show my respects to both the beautiful art and beautiful word-play

We'll done on the animatic! I found this a while back but decided to comment now. This is how I found the A03 fic in the first place. I can tell you that the animatic didn't make sense until I had read the fic and it hit all the harder after I read it. I can tell you, this animation absolutely does the Fanfic justice! This is also the one fanfic that I wish I could reread for the first time over and over and over again. I would hurt myself over and over, but it would be worth it. Because the wonder and the story outweighs the heartbreak.
