Nancy shows you how to put the border onto your hexagon quilt. Nancy is passionate about English Paper Piecing and you can enjoy more workshops from her. Her personal preference is to add a nice border and she shows you how to do this; and then you need to neatly applique the hexagons on to it.
She also gives advice about pinning, tacking and the applique stitch itself.

Because of your accent (I'm an American), at first I didn't understand you were saying "appliqué" at 0:50 . . . and then I "got it". I can certainly understand your not wanting to make a straight rotary cut across those carefully hand-sewn paper-pieced hexagons. The method you use and show us (thanks!) is terrific! It preserves the integrity of hexagons and the beauty of their shape and makes them the focal point vs. a distracting border. So in a sense you're appliquéing the entire quilt top onto a "background" fabric (that pretty blue border). Love it!
