Hello Alux, Please talk about window shopping culture, shopping malls nowadays have visitors but no one hardly buys anything. Middle class consumer are very careful. From New Zealand. 2008 GFC recession, 2012 Christchurch earthquake recession, 2020 coivd recession. 2023 Government Austerity recession. Is retail more online than traditional. I'm switching my Drainlaying business online this month. Most of my retail owner friends hate window shoppers.

You've done an absolute top notch job on this. Very informative! Meanwhile, I’m retried with a 7 figure portfolio and receiving about $143k in dividends. I have been in the stock market about 20 years. Am I worried? Am I selling? Absolutely not. I have purchase growth stocks too a little at a time over the past few weeks. I am going to sit back and observe how this all plays out, adding more at a time. my investment strategy with my F.A actually calms me down. Eye on the prize, stay the course!

Donna Jean Boyette is quite popular on Bloomberg i doubt if there is anyone who is serious on stock trading that doesn't know her.She has helped me quite a few times in growing my portfolio and it was blissful without any setbacks. she is a tough person in an industry that demands clairvoyance.

Life is about choices and you take the choice to change your life be happy for what you have, and try hard to make your dreams come true .

Alux is now part of my morning routine. I live in Southern Nigeria and the ideas shared here still resonates deeply with me. Keep up the good work.

My passion is playing my own music, it has hardly given me any money, but it has given me really good memories and experiences. :)

Thats me. I have hundreds of passion. I I like learning things and I learnt them seriously. I have learnt programming, baking, nail art, fine art, film making, dancing and a lot more during the past few years. People around think that I am wasting time and money to learn so many things that I wont be able to turn all of them into my career. I dont think so. I love my life because I am excited to have so many passion and I can sometimes connect the things I learnt to bring in new idea which others cannot. But it is true that if a passion turns into a career and business, it will be another story. You wont find your excitement every single day like before but you will still enjoy it :) thats what I am doing. Turning one of my passion into business and doing other passions in my leisure time.

With today's technological advances if the system understands it then every individual can follow their passion and be happy with whatever money they earn.

One (of many I'm sure) exception...is cooking. At least at a restaurant. If you're passionate about cooking, and desire to become a chef...DO NOT work at a restaurant!!! A lot of chefs and cooks get burnt out and when they get home [early in the morning] the last thing they want to do is cook for themselves/family members...Instead, try and be a private chef for small parties.

@@MayTheSchwartzBeWithYou difference being, that specific industry, is something that needs to be done at home. 😉 that said, back of house restaurant employees can opt to eat out instead of cooking at home, but it's not something they can do every single day. So, to counter your point, how many retail employees still need to do the same exact work related things when they get home? Construction workers? Cops? Firemen? EMTs? Service members...Etc. ask any chef/cook if they want to cook for themselves (or do any cooking period) and they'll more than likely say NO. now compare that with other 'industry' jobs, which you speak of...and they'll all shrug their shoulders and say they don't really need to do the same job tasks, while at home off the clock. Got it???

@@dustinmatthews387 That wasn't what I was referring to. I was referring to the fact that even if you're passionate about something, doing it as an employee can still burn you out. As to your point about coming home and doing the same work, if you're a white collar worker, work often follows you home and never really ends (especially if you work from home to begin with). Sometimes I'll be working from 9am until midnight. I've pulled two all-nighters and worked until 3am or 4am on probably over a dozen occasions. Granted, I'm an accountant and was never passionate about accounting to begin with, but my point was that any job can burn someone out.

Is there any advice or can you make a video for somebody who is trying to become a story writer? I don't want to become the next JK Rowling but I do want outside inspiration to be able to complete some of my current story ideas. If this gets buried in the comments I'll understand

It might be helpful to take an aptitude test. These test can give you a direction toward your passion. Then find a niche that needs to be filled in that area of interest that inspires you. Chances are others would buy your product because it's in short supply. All the best to you.

Easier said then done. What do u do wen yur in your 40s and the passion has been up and down, with more downs.
