AFFILIATE LINK DISCLOSURE: Friends, making a quality Loloho video is kind of like making sausage - only slightly more violent. It's a ridiculous amount of work that typically involves high dollar camera drops, blue-screen-of-death computer crashes, and at least one angry shotgun wielding old man shouting, “Hey! Get the hell outta here!” Once the final video is posted, rewards here on KZread are few and far between (unless you are a masochist who enjoys being verbally abused by anonymous trolls). One saving grace is our affiliate links. JUST CLICKING THESE LINKS HELPS TO SUPPORT OUR LITTLE SHOW. Think of this clicking as like tipping - except that it doesn't cost you anything extra! If you eventually make a purchase via one of our affiliate links, we will receive a few pennies (and Sean typically invests these pennies in duct tape and video gear). Again, it doesn't cost you anything to click these links, and it's a great help to us. As always, safe travels, happy camping, and THANK YOU!

One advantage of KOA is you can seen what sites/sizes are available and book online. Saves calls/discussions. Another pay club is Boondockers Welcome. You pay a fee for the club but the parking is free.

I lived in my Volkswagen bus for 2 years across the US twice. I only went to a KOA campground one time. They wanted $45 a night for a parking spot with no hookups. I decided to stay at the Holiday inn for 30 bucks a night and had a nice dinner with the remainder. Never attempted to stay at one again.

One thing they fail to mention about Good Sam membership is there is a 5 cent a gallon discount on fuel at Flying J's/Pilot truck stops that usually have some of the lowest gas prices anyway...So there is a savings there also when available...

I am a traveling RN (ICU/COVID) and I travel in a converted school bus. RV parks HATE my rig. Lol! I am also told owners of older rigs can struggle to find an RV park that will accept them. I have had good luck/experience finding options at county fairgrounds. No luxury, but definitely will do for over nights. I stay in them for weeks at a time right now.

The fair grounds in Colville, WA saved us last fall when we had a sudden deep snow while we were camping on the west side of the state! We could not get in our driveway,so stayed there a week. They were so kind and helpful, but no water or dump because of the weather. We found a dump in a Kettle Falls Lake Roosevelt park and water at the fire station. No one else had water; everything was frozen very suddenly!

Specifically, information about driving while pulling a travel trailer through wet and/or windy conditions. It seems the weather across the country is getting stranger all the time, so I anticipate running in to more situations where driving/towing skills will come in handy. You two are the best! We have caught on to how the environment of camping at the National Parks has changed and how it works.... we are just very spontaneous people so it is a challenge to plan the spontaneous camping experiences. Do you wish you had gone smaller? We are getting ready to go full time as soon as we sell our home. I am terrified to drive one so long. With the 25 ft, we can stay anywhere. As much as i have so fallen in love with the 372RK , i wonder if it is a mistake. We love to craft sp have a room.full of lots of different materials. We have 3 pieces of furniture we don't want to give up, that would fit better in the 25 ft than the 40+ ft. I suppose bulk bags of grains and beans, canned food plus books weighs a lot. A 25 ft trailer was not built for that kind of weight i imagine. I added a lot of groceries our last trip, and i noticed it for the first time. We ended up being gone an extra week due to an unexpected snow storm so we could not get home! I was very grateful for the extra groceries. But we are still robbing the cupboards. I forgot we already had plenty in there. Ha!

@@TheLakingc No we like the 40 footer. Went from popup to 30 foot 5th wheel, to 32 foot to our 40 after retirement. We like the room and all he storage, though we only put 750 pounds of gear in and are still 2000 lbs under GVWR. Still, we must plan carefully for that sized trailer and do plenty of research on parks, sites, etc. We do usually stay in the same places on our longer trips and have favorite sites. We mostly do full hookups because we did primitive in tents for years. Finding the right RV is a time consuming process and you'll have a list of likes and don't likes by the time you get to #2 or 3. Handling 40 feet is easy--if you've done smaller first. Good traveling!

Hi, nice video. I shared your video with my son who is new to rving. You missed boondockers welcome where people offer camping space to travelers. We spent a week with a fellow in Yuma. He even took us off roading in his jeep one day. In Ocala Florida we stayed a night on a hay farm along a beautiful pond. Along with Harvest Host, those travel days can be ones you look forward to instead of dread. Thanks for the nice work

Added RV parky to my arsenal, thanks! I’ve found a couple very unique camping spots with HipCamp, but some of the landowners are charging $40-$60 a night for their spot in the woods with no hookups which is a little much for me. People are paying it though, so I guess the market supports their pricing. Anyway, I hope you guys have a chance to check out some HipCamp locations and do a video to let us know what you think of the experience. Keep the videos coming :-)

I work as a BLM Park Ranger in the summer, I check Campendium on a regular basis to see if our sites are showing up. When they do, I know that I have to increase monitoring because visitor usage will increase exponentially. I saw one site go from 1 or 2 people a month to nightly use and as many as 10 campers.
