Finding equations faster in the FE reference handbook will save you time during your FE exam.
Find equations faster so you can spend more time answering questions and solving problems. In this video, I show you the tricks I used while taking my FE exam, including finding tables quickly, what equations to know and which to search for, and what to look for in the civil engineering section.
By implementing these tricks and using the NCEES PDF reference handbook in your daily study, you will find that you will know the material, and you will feel ready to take the FE exam.

Thanks for the video Kenza. The Pearson's computers are very slow/old and it can take you a lot of time to find the equations. My tip: Write down on your cheat sheet the correct name to search for subjects that have a complex name in the FE manual, ie: if you wanna a Steel equation - use: DESIGN OF STEEL; or, if you want a structural equation - use: STRUCTURAL DESIGN. + everything what you said!!

If I am taking the FE Mechanical Exam do I need to review the Chemical, Civil, Environmental, Electrical, etc sections for my particular exam?
kenza, are you a professor by trade? practicing engineer? both?
Is there a particular PDF viewer that is most similar to the reference viewer on exam day? Or certain settings to mimic the navigation on the exam? (I haven't taken the exam yet so I'm curious how the searching works.)

Can I copy a keyboard from the question in fe exam and paste it in the handbook search bar during the exam?
At least went I took the FE exam Nov 2022. The sections are not there that you can click on. There is no table of contents or index. Which pretty much makes you rely on knowing key words.

I took it in october 2022 , it does show a table of contents in terms of each subject like the normal handbook. Was it not showing that for you either?

J'ai été très surpris de votre mot de fin et enthousiasme à l'idée que vous parlez français. Je souhaiterais vous partager ma préoccupation. Je suis sur le point de terminer mes études de master du côté de la Chine, période au cours de laquelle j'ai effectué deux ans dans un bureau d'étude ici en Chine. Ma préoccupation est de savoir s'il était possible, pour moi, de participer à l'examen de FE ? y a-t-il des cours préparatoires ? des livres pratiques pour une meilleure préparation a cet examen. je souhaiterais passer cet exament dans l'Espérance de me projeter vers les USA POUR UN MEILLEUR EMPLOIS

To answer your question, yes you can take the FE exam, but you will need to check with the state board where you're going to take the FE as they need to check your diploma to validate it. Hi Muhammad! On the exam, the search box is different than Crlt+shift+f, you can still use it now, but sometimes it’s faster to use the tricks that I shared on the video. I hope this helps! Good luck.
