Thank you for this video! I have a question about skin details, maybe you know the answer? After the base game update in early December 2023, some presets, sliders, eye lash mods became broken and caused distortions. I haven’t opened my favorite save file since then because I cannot determine which ones are okay. I have heard news about the no ea eyelashes mod by cien, thank goodness I had the one by kijiko! But what about custom sliders and custom presets? Scarlet is so wonderful with her mod list. I wish there were something similar for certain CAS files. I follow all of the cc creators on Patreon, if they have one, and so far only Northern Siberian Winds has put out updated files. The others haven’t said boo. Do you have any information? Thank you so much for making this video - three great resources and explained clearly 🙏

DaisyJo First, thank you for watching much appreciated 🙂 I am like you I had kikjo eyelash remover only . I did not have that problem with distortion at all Sliders : Only the color slider I know breaks with every major update or new pack but the creator is always on top of it and has fixed it. I pretty much have every slider lol and I have found none to be broken The height slider by luuima is broken but that has been for months now As far as presets it's very rare I have not had a problems with any presets or skin details so far I would advice of course to back up your save file but I don't see any reason not to open your game. ***I will say please if you have for rent pack DO NOT play with it in any of your important saves! It is causing game corruptions. If you haven't purchased it yet , good! Wait on that.****** Seems like your on top of things by just being on Scarlet's website! Your doing great👍🏽 stay updated 🙂 💕

Hi! This video was super in depth and amazingly written; I learned how to take care of the smaller broken cc problems but I still had a question. Whenever I strip down my sim completely (no hair, clothes, makeup, body markings, etc.) the torso + arms disappear and the rest of the body does that white and red checker pattern with the question marks. Once I go to the body section, everything but the head and feet disappear. When I add things like body hair, medical devices, tattoos, all that stuff, it doesn't change. I'm at an absolute loss at where to find what mod may be doing it. Do you happen to know of any ways to find it that isn't going through my 1,000+ cc one by one? Regardless, thank you so much for the video, I'm hoping you still check comments! lol

First ,thank you tophattwaffles for watching my video I appreciate it. When it comes to situations like yours it's hard to tell only because I can't see your mods folder so it's difficult to determine. What could be the cause Could you have an older version of removable eyelashes mod? Or any face presets or body presets? I would take a look at these type of mods that is in your folder and remove them completely or update them or redownload them ,they could of gotten messed up . Finding broken CC is a very tedious task I know. Only way that could be any less in my opinion is using better exceptions while your sim looks that way . And see what files,mods, CC, it pulls off your sim. I'm sorry I can't exactly pinpoint the solution. Please update me on your progress if you find the solution so I can help others in a similar situation. Again thank you for your support on this channel 😊

@@Simeralla Thank you so much for the response! I'll look into it more when I have the time and patience. For now, I noticed as long as I have both a top and bottom on the sim I'll still be able to adjust the body. The only problem really happens when I remove it, or work in the body detail section. It is workable though! If I go back to the clothes section between each change in the body detail section, I'll be able to see if I like it or not. A bit tedious, but it works! Thank you again for the help, as well as how fast you were

Hello! Thank you for the tutorial but i did have a question. My sims will have broken cc yet i cant locate it at all. My sims will not be wearing any cc and their face is just gone besides some teeth which is pretty uncanny lol but is there a way to locate the issue for that? I have mod manager and tray importer and still struggling to fix it. Thank you!

I appreciate you watching my video thank you. For the missing face with just teeth,. It's a known issue that come from no eyelash remover mod Make sure you have the updated version of that mod. Another way in the future to find broken CC is through better exceptions mod , which will give you the name file location. Finding CC can be tricky but if your mods folder is organized by creator it will help in advance but your issue is the mod unfortunately.

I have a question, for the tray importer it goes to a french site. Do i download it and change it to English or am i on the wrong website?

Yes it's correct and you can translate to English scroll to bottom should say download file will be English

Thank you, I knew you were awesome. So, I've played sims from sims 1 to sims 4. I never did any mods or cc. After sims 2 PC I started playing the sims on PlayStation sims 3, then Xbox S/X for sims 4. I had all the packs, but I just wasn't fulfilled. I knew when I played PC I was happier. I think it was because back then I did download cc and I felt like the sky was the limit. I love console but it's not the same with sims 4 console it's to broken. Now at least on PC I feel I can do mods and cc to make the game a bit better. I wanted to prep and prepare before I start downloading all the mods and cc. I want to do it right this time because back then I'm sure I crashed my PC with sims 2 and maybe 1. I didn't know what I was doing. lol It's also hard to find true Content Creators that are telling the truth about mods and cc, how to download, and the backup steps to take. I've only found about 3 people who I trust their content and you made number 3. plus, I love your stories and everything. I'm sure there are more people out there like me looking for the same thing. Ernestine first, thank you for taking time out of your day to watch my video 😊 I played since the start. Back in the day you you really couldn't get the info you needed to take care of mods & CC. So just like you I was very hesitant. Nowadays we are loaded with info. I promised myself when I was knowledgeable I would share everything I knew cause I love mods & CC they elevate the game. You can unmerge and delete by using Sims 4 studio .

This ain’t working. It says sims 4 was not detected on my pc. I’ve been trying to figure this out for months. My sims are filled with questions marks and can’t walk anywhere. It’s only with the get to work expansion pack. That was a waste of my freaking money.

Your game is not showing up? Then I advise to reinstall the game. If your Sims have questions marks, then u have broken CC on the sim . Delete the CC you have on your Sims

Take out your mods folder and see if you still have the problem. If you still have the problem repair your game
