How to Find Crosswinds, Headwinds & Tailwinds for Takeoff & Landing - For Student Pilots
In this video, we go over two methods for calculating winds on takeoff and landing. We go over how to use trig functions cos and sin to calculate crosswinds, headwinds, and tailwinds. We also go over how to use the faa written exam wind chart to calculate wind components.

@@PartTimePilot I'm not an engineer in aerospace though, but I deal with maths a lot :D I have always wanted to become a pilot but probably not as my main profession. A part-time pilot, for most of the reasons you mentioned in your intro, fits perfectly! I am very glad I came across your channel!

@@PartTimePilot don't need service, have two devices including an e6b which is a lot faster and more reliable than me trying to figure it out while flying.

@@douglasanderson1276 e6b could die as well. Plus a quick chart, table method can be faster than an e6b
