Great video! Thanks for all the tips. 1) How do you confirm reliability of internet and power? Does it go out sometimes? 2) Any concerns about getting your security deposit back at the end? 3) Do you know of any affordable services that can check out villas for you, just to narrow it down (for example, eliminate areas with a lot of construction). Maybe a real estate agent, but they are trying to sell you the place.

I rented a villa in Canggu for $8k USD for a month, after 1st day I realized it's a nightmare and moved out. Never got a refund but it was a huge lesson learned. Stay in a hotel/villa for a few days and then view villas before renting them. Also like you said better pricing in person :)

Thanks! Bali isnclosed for generel tourism, you can get in only with appropriate visa. Social distancing, masks everywhere and businesses close at 8pm.

Its cheaper to rent a room in 3-4BD than 2BD but if you want your own place 2BD is cheaper.

Does people pay for the whole term of accomodation in advance? i.e. Can they ask you to pay six months in advance?

They can but tou dont have to and can negotiate monthly payments, mostly its up to you, if you will pay for 6 months in advance, it will be cheaper.
