At 16 i started going to shiv temple without kmowing his sognificiance . At 22 mind got attracted to shiva in a deeper way . At 32 yrs started to fast on mondays . At 44 yrs started to mefitate on shiva . At 51 yrs vibratuons and his energies are with me and witthin me . He changed my life and today at 55 i am.merged in his energies . But still travelling to his higher consciousness .

If I may, I would like to add to this question. As a foreigner, who was raised Christian, it was 'Autobiography of a yogi' that started my experience of Sanatana dharmha. Still in the grip of full blown alcoholism & other drug issues, Mahadev came through quite clearly. After quitting, cold turkey, with the help of unseen masters, we were led to Sathya Sai Baba. Those experiences were something else. Being a late comer to Swami, through 'that book', Sri Guru Babaji then led me to Sadhguru & initiation into Kriya yog. Since then, I was permitted to stay at Ammajis ashram in Kerala & have also had darshan of Sri M. I am still ignorant of most languages of this vast country, not to mention the rituals but have met some interesting Sadhus, Swami's, Yogi's in my travels. I have noticed Mahadev & Mahavishnu have called many foreigners to these shores. As I still stumble my way through this expanse of spiritual wisdom my ignorance is still abundant. But I would just like to publicly acknowledge my gratitude to these beings for this opportunity. Om Namah Shivya, Om Namah Narayana, Om Sri Sairam.

​@@romitkumar-on3fo don't worry about it. Just enjoy the process of upasana. It will take time for your guru to arrive, maybe 1 year or maybe 5 years or maybe 10 years. Have patience and get into the depths of simple upasana/meditation. When you are ready to experience higher energies, your guru will come or you will meet him somehow anyhow. And..... You should also be aware that you know who to make your guru, can you meet their expectations, do they genuinely have spritual knowledge or their and your goals are the same. To know this, you should start upasana.....

You missed his point. You only need a guru if you want to do complicated formal sadhanas. If you do your own sadhana to connect to a deity on your own, for a long time period, the deity takes over and you don't need a guru to teach you to connect to to divinity anymore. Deities are more powerful gurus than any human guru.

When you choose a guru and when you finally gets him/her, you only or mostly take advice from him/her. Isn't that biased too. Maa Saraswati is godess of knowledge | RadhaKrish symbol of love. Why does anyone only worship certain god/godess when they need certain power. That too seem biased. Isn't it! My objective is to say, don't go for face value Just go for what they are actually telling. If you can prove them wrong or know someone who is more experienced then them, just refer that person to them. They/Us would be glad to have that person. 😊

I came home one day and immediately had the thought imagine if shiva came and gave me darshan. The thought just came randomly. 30 seconds later I pull my phone out and see this video on KZread, play it and was amazed after the first 40 seconds when rajarshi mentioned shiva coming and giving darshan to someone looking for a guru.

I literally getting guided by universe. I ask doubts and nature and universe and angel numbers literally told me answers but still I am practicing and since 3-4 years now I am getting connected somewhere with universe. 😄❤ Edit :- half video I watched and wrote this comment.
