    Some tips: 1) Adjust camera angle after seeing test footage to have object and building lines vertical 2) set throttle curve for better throttle control to eliminate wavy flightpath 3) record audio at each station several takes, close to the speaking talent 4) change timeline color space to davinci intermediate as well if you use cst and color space aware grading tools (like hdr wheels) 5) add quiet ambient music with reverb effect and use stereo controls to match the direction

    Beautifully edited. Fantastic work. I have to say in my head I was hearing some music that would go great with what you'd done. Definitely think a music track (not loud of course so you can still hear all the foley) would push the video up to the next level. May of course not have been something they wanted but I do think it would add a lot to it. Anyway, absolutely fantastic work. Very masterful.

    A couple of things here need to be unpacked and reevaluated. When stabilizing your footage, especially with GF, the rule of thumb is to use a higher shutter angle of 90° minimum. All stabilization benefits from a higher shutter speed, as the software interprets motion blur as jello. You can find more info on this in the GF manual. There’s a lot that can be done in terms of handling that can improve the overall experience for the viewer. Coordinated turns and deliberately taking advantage of your vertical space will make your turns appear less robotic and a lot more graceful. Throttle management is crucial for presentation, as bobbling around can be a bit distracting…for something like what you’re doing, always assume that your target viewer is a grandma that suffers from vertigo. I think you’d benefit from learning to race or freestyle, as either discipline will help you achieve the look that you really want.

  • @JonnyTrego

    @JonnyTrego

    4 ай бұрын

    I appreciate the feedback! I understand that Gyroflow prefers different settings than what I am flying. Due to how the noise breaks up so badly in the footage when pushing high iso you either have to sacrifice having less noisy footage or gf not being perfect, and I chose to have less noisy footage, as for my flying I agree it can always be better and im not claiming to be the best pilot. Just doing my best with the skills I have while I develop! ☺️ Thanks so much!

    It absolutely would be better video quality, there’s a much bigger weight difference with those two setups so the flying is a different feel, and adding a naked GoPro doubles the price of the setup. • @JonnyTrego

    I mean it definitely does suck, but I’d rather have to compensate for that than have noisy footage, nothing is perfect so it’s about what you’re willing to sacrifice

But I didn't really try that much, I flew for 10 seconds and thought that it wasn't any good for flying at 30 FPS. But I'll definitely try it now and see if I get some more cinematic shots with 30 FPS and shutter speed at 1/60

    I didn’t think you were at all! Truly, I have to figure out what I’m gonna sacrifice, that’s with anything recording any type of video in poor lighting. I don’t notice it too bad on slow flights, there is some compensating but it’s when you’re flying fast that it’s like oh crap this isn’t good lol

    I’m not sure about the HD zero penetration but you don’t necessarily need the 03 you could use an action cam on top of the drone. It just depends on how light of a setup you want to run and working with what you’ve got
