I laughed too hard at you putting the sand bag on your chest so I subbed. 😂🤣🤣🤣 I purchased the orange version of those bags for our wedding arch/backdrop stand we will be using on 7/3/2020 and was sure there had to be a cheaper and better way. Thanks. Good tip with the double bagging of the plastic bags. All in all I spent 60 dollars for four sandbags, sand, caribeaner clips, and plastic bags. If I had bought 4 prefilled shot bags it would have cost $180.... three times as much!

Now you can help others if they need it, and have some that you can use for a long time. I'm still using my sandbags from this video to this day!

Thanks very much for the video! I'm very much a newbie, but I still can't find a KZread video that illustrates how to balance a boom arm with a sandbag! Do I continue to remove sand from the bag until I've created a sufficient counterweight? If so, where do I dispose of the sand if they're shooting indoors on location in an apartment building? Are there certain techniques that will create a counterweight sandbag quickly? It would be great if you could shoot a video with this topic!

Great topic! Basically depends the weight of the mic, and such, but will keep this in mind :)

I wish I thought of using those gallon bags. I just filled my sandbag and now I have fine dust particles leaking out.

If you have 4 sandbags wouldn't you need just 8 container bags instead of 16?

If you're double bagging the ones I used it's 4 for one sandbag. Each of the sandbags has two sides 🙂

Hello 5 Towns Media House so in LA or California where I am from it's against the law: beachlifeexpert.com/tips/can-you-take-sand-from-the-beach/#:~:text=Did%20you%20know%20that%20removing,gravel%2C%20oil%2C%20and%20sand.&text=Similarly%2C%20other%20beach%20items%20like,and%20driftwood%20are%20also%20prohibited. So it *REALLY* depends local laws and such. If it's not a problem and LAWFUL where you are, I don't see why not, except it might not be the right weight!

PBL sandbags literally fall apart months after you buy them. It's worth it to pay more

Filled and sewn shut bags are significantly stronger than zipper units! Only amateurs use those Amazon bags! Be sure to follow this persons advise if you want to look like a clown.

That's fair, but if you need an affordable solution that works, this works well. Again, use what works best for you. Not everyone can afford everything and that's OK. I hope you have a good day, and create what makes you happy. Sorry this wasn't for you :)
