You are fab. I can understand you. The steps are clear amd I can see what you're doing. One small thing. It would help to know the angle you're running the gap filler at in relation to the cornice. Might seem obvious and dumb to most but every step helps an amateur. 😊

Hi, yes it can be used on many different materials just double check the product details. You want to find one that is can be sanded and painted. Also this is a filler not a glue ( adhesive). You can find products that are both an adhesive and filler in one , just depends on what you want to do exactly 👍

Hi, and thank you for your excellent video. Would you recommend the same product for gaps between old wooden cornice and rendered internal walls? Shrinkage of the render over the years has opened up some large gaps (5-7mm) that a previous owner filled with silastic that's also stuck to everything in sight. Once I've cleaned everything up, I want to make a better job of it than he did.

    1. You should cut out the cracked patty or whatever was used before 2. Don't spray soapy water on top of silicon, it will prevent the edges from sticking to the surface correctly and will peel out sooner than later

The trick is to get as much material as you can into the gap.

  • @billshowto

Hi depends on where the crack is and how big. You can use regular plaster filler if it’s big or along the wall with some sort of reinforcement tape so it dosnt crack again. I’ll post a video next time I come across one.
