HOW TO Fill In Dents Using BONDO!!!
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
In today’s video, we are finally taking care of some dents made by the previous owners. EVEN though I do not know how ANY of the dents were made, we are still going to try and remove as many as possible using nothing but tips and the internet to guide me. It is the first time I am trying this out, so come with me and see how it ALL WENT DOWN ! ! !

Nice bro. Nice to see other young guys doing stuff like this
In case you did not know, the color of the bondo spreader is an indicator of the bondo mixture you should aim for. It looks like yours was a bit too orange/salmon, so too much catalyst. You can add a bit less catalyst if you want more working time.

Not always the best advice. The amount of hardener you use is determined by how hot it is outside. The hotter it is, the less hardener you should use.

@@desmondbeck507 if you have never used Bondo and have no clue about ratio it is a a very good way to get a good mix. Of course like with all recipes you will need to adjust based on conditions.
Thanks for making this video boss, very informative and easy to follow!

Just how we like them!
definitely something i’ll keep in mind the rest of my life!
cool, simple process. i will try on one of my dents, it’s like doing drywall
good stuff. i had a HUGE dent in the left rear panel of my lexus and went through the trunk to knock most of the dent back to normal-ish. but now there’s some very shallow dimples in the metal that are noticeable. gonna use some bondo to shape it back to normal and then repaint. video gave a pretty good perspective of what to do if you’ve never done it

Looks good. I'm going to repaint my truck. I have a bunch of dings. Going to be doing this myself. Great job. How did it all turn out?
Great job and great video! Some tips that can make it easier. Always use a block when sanding, you want your edges feathered, not crisp, and take some spray paint and lightly spray over the area. When you sand you will see the low spots. Also use a rag while going over the repaired area. This will help feel any imperfections better than just a hand. I went to school and worked in a body shop for 6 years.

About to raptor line my Honda Element. As soon as it arrives in the mail. This video will be helpful for the couple small dings. I have one question. What kind / grit of sandpaper did you use to sand the area before adding the bondo? Thinking of getting a block & an orbital sander to use for the rest of the vehicle.
Good job friend very well explained i realy enjoyed watching and hope you do some painting videos as well.😊

I just started helping a friend fix up sum cars. As a first time working with bondo, the weather is hot here in Laredo so is there any way i can adjust mixture that will give me a better working time using the bondo and another question qhen sanding down the bondo should I keep my strokes left to right or could i sand vertical? Like i said i haven't been around bondo much would like to know better techniques to improve my work. Great video by the way.
Should sand with 80 grit! Save ya some time last coat should be a glaze and sand with 180 and ready for primer

Looks like you need more practice. I could tell you about all the things you are doing right or wrong. But best thing to do is to do it again. Go to the junkyard, find a panel and work on that! Practice makes perfect! Learn to crawl before we can run! Im currently trying to teach myself to polish so I got me a old black hood that I will practice on.
How long did you wait between coats of bondo?
@JavisProductions420
2 жыл бұрын
I waited until it was hardened before I applied another layer but usually it's 10-15 min depending on the weather you are working in.
Lol , dude said imo someone else put the dents on it!

Just a tip you should never see sharp defined edges in your bondo...edges should be feathered. Good vid

Who has a dent puller or the know how? His strategy is quick, fast and to the point. Come on dude he is showing you how to do this and keep money in your pocket. It’s a beater that may have six to 7 years to go.
