Try to avoid exercises that have him on his back legs. Easy to damage the knee joints (Cruciate) Get a big rope chew toy and pull against him. You will get a real workout! A great dog you have.

Rottweiler are Strong.. Very Strong Dogs and in your case you wont be able to control him if he attacked anyone or if u went aggressive.. Take care dude.. If u didnt train him you will be in trouble and u will lose Something or lose him.

The dog must work for his food first, when he knows that, you learn him patience and he can only eat when you say he can. Only one problem, most people don't do that, because they don't like to spend time for it. They feed the dog anyway and he knows, ok, I can do what I like, I get food anyway. A Rottweiler loves to work anyway. He gets crazy when he does not have to do anything, like many other dogs. Dogs, all dogs, like to go out, hiking, explore and be with you, so he will feel secure because he needs protection from you also. I cant understand people who not know this, in this internet time? Stay away from Facebook..! And start learning...

Two things that you are doin wrong here First one-Dogs are supposed to eat head down the height of your bowl is too much,his head needs to be a lil low when he is eating otherwise he'll have digestive problems or bloated stomach. Second one-Dont feed him that crap pedigree, dude rottweiler are prone to joint problems a lot of them. Either feed him a good brand's feed(I recommened Royal canin or Farmina) or keep it natural 3 time meal is what I feed to my rottie(Hector) chapati/oats/rice with curd morning and afternoon and the last meal I give him 250 gm boiled chicken with rice. One thing more you can give him two raw chicken feets a day for his bone nutrition. Trust me brother he will live a very good life if you keep it natural as I have tried both royal canin and farmina but after starting his natural feed he is much energetic and does not have any problems so far(touchwood)

Bro dont give him pedigree... It is one of the worst food for a dog's digestive sytem. In long run it will harm him/her in many ways.. Raw or boiled chicken/meat is considered best for his system... You can even google this thoroughly or ask a good experienced vet...

You are right, this is probably not the safest family dog. But rough play doesn't make a dog untrained. Further is this not dominant behavior, or "alpha" as you might put it. Since you only see bits of his life it is quite impossible to judge if this dog is badly trained.

I have a rott too, feeding time is not playing time, i doubt if the owner can control him in public or when theres other dog around

Totally wrong way of doing it. First thing the dog is not disciplined enough to obey commands. And a dog mustn’t eat until we command it to eat, till then it has to sit and wait calm and submissive way, in this dog pack Alpha is the dog not the owner
