Feed and watch them eat until you notice slow rushing of food then u can stop feeding, don’t just pack all the feed and put inside water at once

Nice analysis but running cost seems underestimated fuel prize is high same goes to workers salary and you hardly sell for 1300 per kg in Delta state

200pcs of fish may be for self consumption. But if for commercial, u need to go up to 500+

Thank you for simplifying the costs of production. May I make some observations. The labour costs should be adjusted to reflect reality. Nobody will work for 10k a month. Around 20- 30k is the average rate for a farm worker. That will be 100-150k in five months. Further, unless you are selling directly to the consumers, selling price of 1,400 is not realistic. Current prices are around N1000- 1,200 per kg. If adjustments are made, this is barely breaking even. A way out may be what you have suggested, using a blend of local and foreign feeds to achieve the required results and selling directly to the market. However, direct sales is not practical for large stocks, which have to rely on middlemen.

Grade them according to size then feed them well and maintain quality water, at 3 months you should be seeing 600 to 900 grams if they are good seeds than as soon as you start counting 4 months you will start seeing 1kg

We used only 1000 fishes for better understanding, fish culture depends on individuals capacity, some people can culture 10k , 100k or 1 million cafish or more depending on what you can carry, the more you put in the more you get. If you culture 100k fish then multiple the 416k by 100k thats your profits

As a strong person you are, you don’t need to culture 1000 fish, this is for illustration, you can culture like 1,000,000 million catfish or above so that at the end of the harvest you should be making a profit of 416 million Naira in 5 months , what do you think about this is it still small?, invest big in agriculture and harvest big, ask this big politicians why the like agriculture. So our illustrations will help small farmers then you as a big farmer apply it to your business by multiplying to your capacity. Please note farming depends on your capacity. Thanks

But it's not all the fishes that will reach 1kg some will not give that weight

With good seeds and proper management you will have at list 1kg, you will start seeing 1kg at 3 months plus then before the end of the feed consumption you will be getting 1kg fish and above, you can even see 1.5kg fish

The feed you bought will take you to five months if your fish are not feeding well or sick at some point. But if you got good seed at 3 months thy will almost consume that feed and you will get the expected weight, so expect the feed to finish within 3 to 5 months
