The wattage of the power adapter won't matter. The watch never draws more than 0.35 A from USB, even if you charge with the 87 W USB-C power brick for the 15" MacBook Pro.

I purchased an Apple 12W charger and it seemed to charge at the exact same speed. As for turning off everything, would it charge in power reserve mode? That kills everything except the time.

Is the adapter 10 for watch series 7 ?

This made my Apple watch charge in like a bit more than an hour

For watxh series 7 and later it support fast charger. You can use the usb c watch charher and usb c power brick

I just switched off the Bluetooth on my iPhone while my watch series 7 was charging and it made a big difference charging much faster now

Your watch will not change faster with a 10W charger compared to a 5W one. 5W one outputs 1A while Apple Watch will only request a third of that. That holds true for Apple Watch Series 6 faster charging too! If your watch could use all of 1A, the 5W charger would have charged your watch in 15 minutes (or 30 if you account for worst of power wastage in wireless charging). Doesn't happen does it?

But real world application, my 5W will charge my Series 7 WAY slower than the 20W I use. Why’s that? Same goes for my iPhone 12 (or any iPhone for that matter)

@@palumbum I’m not sure what has changed with 7 because they also supplied usb-c charging puck so it’s likely that 7 can draw more power. This comment was true for every Apple Watch before that because regardless of anything, usb-a will not allow more than 5W through.

@@palumbum The likely reason for why the older one charges slowly is because the new puck may support USBPD standard that apple uses for fast charging. In those cases, if the source is not complaint with format, it throttles the power throughput.

So how do you fast charge your apple watch? Turn bluetooth off!

there is actually a usb-c magnetic charging cable option for apple watches so you can buy that one

David Molina I have the series 4 for over a year now, in the beginning it used to show my profile pic, then I noticed it wasn’t..tried the exact same things you tried..changing the pic, unpairing then re-pair it..and nothing..

I was here to see whether the type C charger charge faster than the USB A charger that comes with the box as the type c one is priced higher. No answer whatsoever

Now that I’ve turned BT off and put watch in airplane mode, I can no longer unlock my watch because it can’t see that my phone is unlocked. Called Apple for help and they couldn’t help. I have to wait 1 week to go into a store now. This isn’t cool. If you have any advice on how to fix this, pls let me know.

Nope. Apple designs their batteries to allow for overnight charging without damage/ extended charging. As long as you're not straight up damaging or doing things that obviously aren't smart there should be no issues

That charger for an iPad is the old iPad charger it's USB it's not a USB C. The Apple watch you just type c so C does not fit into b

Man you are cheap you're using all products as props no it doesn't work like that and then then at the end of the watch thing it's see you cannot plug that into that and then if you get a different charger that has USB on the end of it the charger itself does not fast charge the Apple watch the charger that plugs on the back of the watch there's only three items that are fast charger the Apple watch factory base that does fast charging it's like geez you do research before you post videos or you just half ass do videos like this

I think he meant you can't turn it off while it's charging

WARNING: Do NOT turn off Bluetooth then take your watch off if you have it set so you need your iPhone to unlock it when you put it on. This will totally disable your watch and you will have to factory reset the whole thing. BAD ADVICE!!!
