I swear this man had to be the voice actor for Winnie The Pooh. I wouldn't question it at all. And the coincidence with the honey would be just perfect. 👌🏽 Lol

OMG,... you mentioned me again LoL... I am truly honoured and feel chuffed!!! Since harvesting my first lot of honey I've invested in a spinner, electric no less 😜so now I don't need to take all the wax from the fame which will save my ladies from building it again. I sold all 58 jars of the dark rich flavoured honey to people who know what honey is supposed to look and taste like and they loved it. Thanks for the valuable advice and Birthday Wishes,... I'll keep them in mind on my birthday this year. Another great informative episode which will help all us new beekeepers out here in KZread Land 😀Well done Mark,... well done,... ooh and John behind the camera 😃the forgotten hero who needs to do all the filming and editing, thanks.
From NZ: "Tutin is a plant toxin found in tutu (Coriaria arborea) plants. It is poisonous to people and other mammals. Symptoms of tutin ingestion in people can be mild (giddiness). But they can also be severe and lead to coma or death". After 31 December we test the honey for tutin. Thanks, great video, and enjoyed the passion. Cheers
There’s a guy here in the U.S. that jars it just like what you were scraping off the frames calls it “untouched” honey and sells it for a premium price!

You're the best! Thanks for teaching us all the bee stuff while also being so much fun. ❤️
Feels like being there with you. Thanks, that made me smile.
That was so fascinating. Thanks so much.
Good instructor and easy to follow - for a beginner apiarist like myself.
"It's not even dizzy" hahaha
Put you a 2 inch board across the tub. Drill holes in the ends to fasten it to the tub with bolts and wing nuts put a nail through the center of the board with point up so the end of the frames has a place to sit with a grip on it. Works great. 👍❤🐝
Nepal honeybees are what you're refrencing. The rhododendron flower is in that area and can be a hallucinogenic in the honey.

Awesome video Mark and John thanks for sharing 👍🐝🍯
I love your attitude!
I bought a stainless Press. Works well. Use a Duel strainer and its ready for the jar. The wax gets put in a solar oven I made from an eski, and glass. Nice clean Wax when done.
Love your enthusiasm! Cheers

Ahaha “it’s not even dizzy“ (not spinning the honey) that made me laugh. Funny guy
Loved the video mark cheers Keith 🙂🙂
Perfect video!
If you like little scraped-off pieces of black plastic in your honey, this is definitely the way! I much prefer foundationless frames. That way, no plastic, no bits of wood, you can easily and accurately cut the comb from the frame. Plastic frames work much better with spinner type extractors.
So funny, what a very friendly funny man. Subscribed UK 👍🐝
you're a classic. I love ya mate. Perth, Western Australia c
Oh my goodness I absolutely loved this video. Thank you so much I don't have any bees of my own but I was quite curious what. The? Process was I buy. Honey from the local farmers market and I surely did enjoy your descriptions of ideas. It so reminded me of Paddington bear i'm going to subscribe love your work and thank you again🩵

Dizzy free honey 😂😂😂
Haven't been this early since Bush Bee Man stole his wife's screwdriver before Valentines Day! Great video as always.
Can uncapped Honey frames be vibrated to extract honey?
What about taking honey from the frames with wax foundation? Is that just lost to the process and then reclaimed as the wax to be cleaned and re purposed

If you don't have a spinner that's the case. With a spinner tho you preserve most of the comb (if it doesn't blow out).
Have u ever had a hive around heaps of rhododendron plants cause that's the plants that make mad honey
Top parabéns
Do you do anything special with the frames to clean them or just put them back in the hive and let the bees do the rest?
Yummy ♥️🐝 🍯
I am a first time bee keeper. I love my bees and didn’t think that I would be able to harvest this year as I bought a nook the first week of May. However, I have 2 boxes and 1 super. My super and the 2 boxes are full and capped. Can I harvest from all 3 or just the super?

I reckon some of that set up must be brood and pollen, not all capped honey! It'd be best to ask one of your local beekeepers about your intentions, as advice is pretty specific to the bees you're working and the local weather/flora. However, as general advice, if your super is fully capped, yes you can havest it. But, don't be greedy and make your girls starve during the winter months. Either that, or be prepared to feed them well during the cold part of the year. I would highly recommend your finding a local beekeeper as you'll learn much quicker with a mentor.
I estimate the moisture contents are 13.75 percent. Would that be correct ?

Do you need to clean the frames up before you return them to hive or do the bees do that?
@alastairsellars2611

The bees will clean up the frames once in the hive. No need to clean them up, although I would take off any burr comb on top of the frames.

I put the frames at least 300feet away from hives and leave them out for random bees to clean them. It’s amazing to see all the bees flying around collecting the honey left on the frames. They will have finished cleaning the frames in 1-2 days. Several beekeepers told me it may cause robbing to put the “wet” frames back on the hives. Others say you can put them in the hive in the evening so your bees can clean them up at night and there is much less chance of robbing. After experiencing robbing, I take the safe process. Hope this is helpful.
A beekeeper from the U.K. who has a you tube channel recommends using a honey comb uncapping fork instead of knife or scaper (as is done in this video) because it preserves the comb for the bees to refill immediately, resulting in faster honey production from the hives. Of coarse, that requires the extractor machine to remove the honey from the comb using centrifugal force. Bush Bee Man's scraper method does not require the extractor as he states. Pros and Cons in everything we do, no?
In doing this mark, do U heave to have to begin with plastic foundations cheers keith

You don't. You can use wax foundation or even foundationless. Then you cut out the whole frame and smash the wax to get the honey out. Or you use a spinner and preserve most of the wax.
Great vid. Whats funny to me is that I usually watch these vids on double speed but the voices are sometimes too high pitch to understand. Your voice sounds the same at normal speed and double speed. Do you do voice overs for cartoons by any chance???
❤❤❤
I love you
Salam: In which country is this honey, and how much is the price per kilo? Is it original and not nutritious? Artificial sugar:
Why would you destroy all that comb?
I was wondering, does honey in a jar, with some comb ever crystallize? I dislike heating honey to return it to a liquid state, it gets darker and stronger flavored when I heat it, sometimes in extreme cases it becomes bitter. I heard that a bit of comb in the jar with the honey prevents these problems.
@alastairsellars2611

Yes all honey will crystallise in a raw state (even in honey frames). The main reason why supermarket honey generally doesn't crystallise is as a result of heating the honey above 50 degrees.

If you put a 5 gallon paint filter bag over the bottom bucket you won’t get any crap in it. Simple.
Yeah let's go Andies
Seems like you could use heat
@Stumper52

You don't want to heat up the honey at all if possible. At most to around 40°C.
Dizzy honey 😂
. . Only Problem Is . . Next Year The Bees Will Produce Less Honey as The Will Bee Spending More Time and Resources To Rebuild The Comb . .
😱😱 I want to eat real..!
Adress ???? Please !
High just watching metal scraper can cause micro plastic scrapes try plastic on plastic Just what I found.
Nepalese honey
If youre a beek, dont ever do this!!!! Youre throwing hundreds if not thousands of dollars away. Clean drawn worker wax on a frame is gold, scraping it like this is criminal.
better not to take out the hive so it will be easy for bee to make honey again .
i invite all of you to ISLAM, the worshipping of one true GOD, ALLAH alone who has no partners and is the absolute one. ALLAH has promised paradise for the believers. note: there is a river of honey in paradise.
Destroying all the comb like this is disgusting.
