Helpful video, Greg. Thanks. BTW, the specks around the bison are actually insects that constantly fly around the animal. Personal choice, but I sort of like to keep them in this situation.

Ah, makes sense. I saw some plant material for sure, but makes sense that much more of those little dots would be insects.

Great example. As a wildlife guy, I always find these types of examples extremely helpful.

Terrific resurrect! I never cease to be amazed at just what Lumenzia can do (and how I'm STILL learning how to exploit its full potential!)

thanks for the tutorial! really liked the trick on making the outline at the back of the animal less prominent. Curious why you wouldn't use object selection on the dark layer when brightening up the animal vs doing the color tweak? Any pros/cons to either approach?

Object select may work well in combination with the darks preview, but AI can be jagged at complex edges. Color can be too with the transition edge often having different coloration, so good to consider both approaches (or use both together in some cases).

when I click on a smart object image layer, it removes the smart object and opens up a layer preferences panel.

not sure what you're doing, clicking on a layer won't transform it. If it is a RAW Smart Object, double-clicking will edit it. If it is a normal Smart Object, it will edit the contents, which looks like a new document was opened. If you have Lumenzia, watch the RAW button in the Basics panel. It will show green/yellow if the active layer is a RAW Smart Object, red if it is a normal smart object, and won't have a color if you have not selected a single smart object for it to evaluate.
