Brilliant info here for me. I am a 45 year old DJ that has only just moved from CDJ1000s to an XDJ RX3 so I have to learn all this Recordbox business in export and performance. Same here, for going from controller to the CDJs. These guys are a big help. You sure cannot get that much help out there as you used to. Even as being a DJ and knowing this stuff, sometimes you get stuck and need help figuring these things out and there used to be people that they can contact or collaborate with like other DJs or Pioneer personnel that can help you for cheap, but now it’s all about the money, so you’re kind of on your own. Thank you so much Crossfader, you’re my heroes. 👍

very helpful thank you I finally made the switch from serato to rekordbox and its been so much fun playing ob CDJS without a laptop. I highly recommend every dj to make the switch to rekord box as its a no hassle way to play tracks and connect with your crowd minus the laptop. I love you all.

Good stuff man. You should have gone into the 'options' a bit though when Exporting your USBs, some real important Metadata stuff you can only change/set when Exporting like how your 'Key' is displayed, Alphanumeric ect when you plug the Sticks into the Players

How do you ensure that the entire track order you had on rekordbox playlist on your laptop, will show up in the exact same order when you plug in your usb on a new hardware? Thanks for the awesome videos.

hello, very useful video, but I had a problem, a practice with the external ssd that I used as a rekordbox library to then export to another ssd or usb stick, unfortunately it broke. Now I find myself in the situation of having the whole library on the ssd where I had exported all the playlists of my library. Is there a way to put the library back to how it was before???

I’ve seen a couple videos covering the same transfer from Recordbox to USB, I think it’s more efficient and safer to directly transfer all your music from record box to your music files and then on to a USB, that way you can use the same USB on other DAWs and extensions while still having all your music saved in one place! Thanks for the video. I'm new to RB coming from Serato. I have imported my library to RB? but I don't have any playlists. Is it possible to bring my library onto a USB without having any playlists? All my crates are still in Serato, I've been trying to convert them using the DJCU but I haven't had much success! Any ideas. Thanks

Hello, I have my first proper gig tonight. And I’ve exported my songs onto my usb but I’m scared incase I get there and they haven’t been exported properly. Is there any way of checking this prior? Any quick reply would be very appreciated

@crossfader what if I'm just using Rekordbox to create a playlist for the cdj so that my tracks show up in order with cue points and my music is stored on the USB but not on my MacBook? Will that work?

Loved this video - really well explained! When I try to transfer playlists from rekordbox to my USB it skips transferring the same playlists each time. Could this mean my USB is corrupted?

make sure you dont have any tracks in the playlist that are corrupt or still trying to analyze !!

Do you recommend San Disk Ultra USB sticks? I'm using some metallic Samsung sticks and they seem good too.

do you use MAster boot record or guid partition while clicking in security options? any reasones my sandisk extreme 64gb are too slow? in fat32 and journaled

Hey mate been having some issues as I just got back from a 4 gig tour. DO you have a private box so I can explain my issue with RB and exporting info to USB problem . Waiting for the Pioneer Forum is way too long. RD

Analysed all my tracks in rekordbox with sync manger for my usb as soon as plug my usb into the xdj-rx it will show the wave forms and BPM for the first couple of tacks when I load another track after there is no wave form anymore it's annoying

No devices are appearing in my devoces section even though my usb is plugged in ??

Once you are done working with a song, always lock the track so it can't be analyzed again by accident.

Thanks for the video but what I noticed is that you can find hundreds of similar videos on youtube about exporting rekordbox playlist to USB but why nobody mentions about file formats? The official CDJ documentation mentions that 44/24 bit is a supported file format but in reality these type of file are not recognized by CDJs so I assume the only way is to use 44/16bit? Any recommendation or experience regarding AIFF?

I just tried to export my playlist onto two USB’s, however I only got the contents folder appear on one USB. Does this matter? Please help!

That cue grid info is some wicked technology. So anything I do on the cdjs will be saved if I do that. As in I only have to set a cue point once?

I have an interesting question and strangly enough, nobody talks about it. When I export files to USB or SD card, rekordbox shows me a message that not all files ware exported, but does not say WHY. I did proper tags ex, nothing helps. Also Rekordbox makes a text file in My Documents folder/ Rekordbox with the files that are not exported. Any video maybe on the subject?

What do we do if iTunes has transferred over to Mac Music. Rekordbox export keep showing iTunes, but not Music. So the old iTunes folders are old. How to update that?

Great video thank you! But you left out one tip that i had to find elswhere to get this to work at all. Apparently you cannot format to FAT32 unless your usb is 32gb or smaller. I bought a larger one and the format option does not appear whatsoever and i was very frustrated for a few hours until i figured it out! Thanks again though!

@@hagridpeter4454 i just went and bought a USB that was 32gb and it was set to FAT32 by default so i didnt even have to do anything. The USB has to be 32gb or smaller to format to FAT32

okay so I bought new usb its sandisk 3.0 and when I try to export my music from rekordbox to my usb in the usb playlist it says file is missing. pleaaaaase help me to solve this problem plus the musics preview section is missing in the usb playlist

you should have added the way that you can export your actual rekordbox settings so if you plug into a laptop it's setup like your home setup is

Hi, when I played my tracks they used to have a green colour now they just turn back white, I cant see what track i have played and what track I didnt play, how to turn it back on? Can somebody explain please :)

My problem is when I eject it says there a programmes running and I need to close them, I have no clue what this means, also when I plug in my USB it's says songs I playlists will be deleted, I have to put the songs back in manually
