How-To | Exhaust Servo Removal | Suzuki GSX-S750

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

I read good things about removing the exhaust servo. I thought I would give it a try. It took less than an hour to remove all of the servo hardware and plug in the Healtech Servo Eliminator. Check out the video to see how to remove the exhaust servo and see what it sounds like after its removed. Test ride in next video!

    Awesome Video Bro! I really appreciate your effort showing other GSR/GSX-S users how it works. I got the F1 code error with exhaust valve problem. I am really disappointed with Suzuki. They've made such a part that is only working sometimes with lots of complaints and faults. Now it's taking so much effort to fix this issue. I also saw other people with older GSXR who did just cut the exhaust control cable, removed the #30 wire, that over-ride the F1 error. I was wondering if that technique would also work on this bike. I knew the Eliminator is the ultimate solution, but I also saw other comments that it failed to work, probably because it's incorrectly installed. It's still a bit risky, isn't it? Alternatively, get a new new SERVO and replace the faulty one.... maybe. sorry for putting a long comment, I'm weighing the best way of solving this issue...

  • @sstressfl

    @sstressfl

    4 жыл бұрын

    Thanks for the feedback and comment. I went thru a similar search for a solution to the servo valve. I learned that it has an electrical adjustment range that needs to be dead on according to spec, I learned how people removed it or bypassed it with different methods. I also read about how some bikes ran better with it on, some ran worse. As I learned, the gsxs runs better with it removed. And the best long term fix is to remove it and use an eliminator that will lie to the computer so that everything runs perfectly. (But of course this leads to the need for more fuel which means more cost/programming). But If you ever need to trade your bike or sell it, you can always include the original parts, and they can be bolted back on if needed. But as soon as you start hacking and cutting, your bike is no longer “clean”. Often, homegrown budget solutions can be unreliable and downright ugly and if you do something wrong can lead to more problems. I don’t like to spend money either. But when it comes to a motorcycle, I like a solid clean reliable solution. That’s just me! It helps me sleep better at night 😎👍

    @@sstressfl Just to update of SERVO. I've sent my bike for 72k major service. I've mentioned about the exhaust valve issue, the Suzuki workshop mechanic instantly recommended the Healtech Eliminator to me. It costed AUD$80 + GST to get it done along with major service. Now my bike feels like brand new! with no hesitation in low end acceleration. Wow, I LOVE it. I should have done 5 years ago. I won't do it, but it must be so much easier to wheelie on GSR now (I've tried, but I thought GSR wasn't powerful enough and too heavy)... Thanks man for your help! • @sstressfl

    It’s designed primarily to control back pressure. To improve low end throttle response. On some bikes it works well. On this one, in my experience, it’s in the way. The engine likes it gone 👍 And this engine likes the intake opened up. Funny that the newer version of this bike do not have the servo valve and the intake opening is much much larger 😎👍 and they make more hp. IMO, since this engine was built back in 2005 it was never meant to be saddled with all of these control systems. It wants to breathe!!

    Has anyone heard of boosterplug? Wondering heeltech plus the boosterplug would work, instead of spending more for the pcv

  • @sstressfl

    @sstressfl

    4 жыл бұрын

    I read about it. The boosterplug lies to your bike's computer and tells it that the temp outside is colder than it actually is which forces the bike to run in "cold mode" delivering (as I read) a 6% increase in fuel over the stock level. Seems like it could be a very simple solution to a stock bike, or a bike with a k&n/slipon. I have never used one so I can't speak to its effectiveness. With the simple mods I made to my bike, I needed 12% more fuel, roughly, across most of the rpm range to bring it to a healthy fuel air ratio. I used a PCV.

  • @MS-sk7kw

    @MS-sk7kw

    Michael Byrne thanks for the input Michael. I did see you went work the PCV. Adding 6% fuel everywhere would probably also richen the mixture in many places, causing long term harm. Im kinda torn lol I think I would like an exhaust sometime in the future so it may be worth investing in the PCV

  • @sstressfl

    M S I think a pcv is a better investment. If you continue to mod, you’ll want tuning flexibility. Tell them what you have done to your bike then they will send you a map that they believe will work well with your mods. It's not perfect but usually it will get you in the ballpark and you can make minor edits if needed. Also, consider buying an additional Power Commander Autotune. It's like having an onboard dyno tuner that makes tweaks to your fuel map while you ride. But just to add more emphasis to my initial warning - all of this requires knowledge of fuel delivery, tuning, etc. Be careful! You can fry your engine if you don't know what you're doing.
