    Hi! Can you tell us more regarding regarding vernix caseosa management ie when to clean it, how to clean it and if it is to be cleaned at all (immediately). In our part of the world they use liquid paraffin to clean baby's in OT right after birth (under a radiant warmer.)

    Agreed- Vernix probably has anti-bacterial properties- and may help with thermal control/ evaporation/ help with wound healing etc. Generally we don't bathe infants until ~ 24 hrs - hoping to get as much goodness out of their coverings as possible.
