I assumed step one would be to get away from 'strong side' and get to 'weak side.' Thoughts? (Essentially, I don't want his arm to be my pillow.)

But is not simple to turn your opponent to the other side. If you can’t go that way, you must do this way! 👍🏽

I really didn't like this lesson. He simply removes his foot to the side, lol. In any situation, and especially in this one, the opponent is squeezing very tightly (essentially count-bending your body) with his legs and feet so that you can't bend to the front and reach his feet at all. And that is what he should have addressed.

This defense works and I use it always. That’s why I taught it. If you don’t like it I completely understand it. But...notice the way I took the foot out, the way I grab my opponent’s foot. Like any other defense, you must be patient and take some time. I use it a lot and it works well for me 👍🏽. Oss!

@@Galvaocast Thank you for the reply. I didn't mean to be disrespectful, in fact I'm grateful for this free lesson among many. However, the demonstration seemed a bit too perfect for my practical experience.

Not true... the leg details he shows will get any hook off your leg and he shows how to alleviate the choke pressure immediately first by the thumb in grip and pulling on tricep

@@savobursac1148 He is showing the technique. First you make the drills to understand the movements, then you start to apply resistance to adapt to your body type and needs. People often wants to jump on the full power before understand the basics, this will just hold you down. Make you slower. First Technique, then power.
